Gadea s-a facut avocatul lui Ponta

E scarbos. Omul in emisiunea de pe Antena3 din 9 februarie (2012) l-a aparat la maxima audienta (el tine foarte mult la rating) pe Ponta ca si cum ar fi avocatul personal al acestuia. Se leaga de "slugile lui Basescu", iar el devine sluga lui Ponta. E ras cu plans! Din pacate in Romania de astazi acestia se considera jurnalisti de marca.

Felicitari! Vezi jurnalism romanesc de calitate si nepartinitor! Si se mai si lauda cu premii. TVR e sluga de la PDL iar Antena3 e sluga lui Ponta si USL. Iar noi traim in Romania!

Ciocoii vechi si noi -posibilul Guvern Ungureanu

Cam asta s-a facut astazi. Guvernul Ungureanu pare sa coopteze oameni noi, dar din pacate unii sunt tineri fara experienta, altii sunt spioni, altii sunt profesori de sport, altii sunt incompatibili, iar altii sunt delegati de fostii ciocoi, asa ca tot ce se incearca ramane fara consecintele dorite de presedintele marinar.

Desi tot incercam sa intinerim clasa politica (lucru de laudat in principiu), se pare ca de data asta au cam dat gres, caci oamenii nu mai au incredere si sunt ferm convinsi ca oamenii care misca sforile raman aceiasi. Se pare ca singurul punct de atac este sa prosteasca populatia si sa dea maruntis populatiei (vezi marire de pensii si revenirea salariilor bugetarilor la cel inainte de 2010). Daca trucul reuseste, PDL va iesi victorios, dar sper ca opozitia va reusi sa explice aceasta manevra de derutare. Insa cu poporul e mai greu, caci multi pot fi cumparati cu o galeata. (vezi galetile oferite de marinarul cel vestit, din pacate astazi la carma unei tari in mare dificultate financiara, politica si o criza profunda morala.)

Iar ungurii mei incearca din rasputeri sa se agate de pozitii si nu vor schimbarea ministrilor UDMR din fostul Cabinet Boc. Sa vedem ce se intampla, desi sunt ferm convins ca mare lucru nu se schimba doar niste nume pe tablitele de la ministere.

P.S. Se face aceasi rocada ca si in cazul fostilor ministrii "grei din PDL", Videanu, Berceanu si Blaga.

Cine a castigat?

Astazi premierul Emil Boc a demisionat de la carma guvernului, atributiile fiind preluate de ministrul interimar Catalin Predoiu, iar seara la 8:00 (CET+1) presedintele Basescu a anuntat noul premier in persoana domnului Mihai Razvan Ungureanu.

Ma gandesc cine o fi castigat din aceasta mutare? Catalin Predoiu a doar simtit cum e sa fi premier, chiar daca doar pentru cateva ore sau zile.

Mihai Razvan Ungureanu? Cred ca e un om cu multe calitati care a dat bir cu fugitii, caci in mai putin de 12 ore nu se poate concepe un nou program de guvernare, iar daca programul vine de la capitan si se pare ca acesta fiind cel plauzibil, atunci presedintele si-a facut mai mult rau decat bine. E normal ca opozitia nu va sustine un asemena guvern si nu va crea stabilitate si nici incredere populara. Sa vedem noua constitutie a cabinetului, si atunci putem sa ne pronuntam si sa ne decidem daca se schimba ceva, sau doar se vor schimba numele unor actori politici. Udrea, Boagiu, Marko, Kelemen, Borbely, Igas se vor lasa de functii? Ma cam indoiesc si m-as mira, dar sa vedem, caci pana maine putem astepta.

Romania? Nu prea cred, caci chiar daca se schimba fatada (vezi un posibil nou guvern), trenul si sina e acelasi, si pana cand presedintele in functie (vezi T. B.) numeste pe cineva, increderea se evapora si tot ce atinge dansul se pare ca se mucegaieste. Dar e normal, in Romania ultimul care conteaza e cetateanul!

Cine a castigat? Cred ca singurul care a castigat, e cetateanul Boc, caci omul poate merge acasa, si nu mai are treaba cu tara, sta linistit, nu se mai streseaza, si nu isi mai vede numele in Piata Universitatii si macar in seara asta doarme linistit. Cat despre reputatia dansului de specialist in drept constitutional, -vazand toate acele legi care au fost respinse de Curtea Constitutionala si avizate de dansul-, nu stiu ce sa mai zic.

P.S. Ma gandesc ca Mihai Razvan Ungureanu va ajunge la soarta fostului ministru Zsolt Nagy care la porunca capitanului era hartuit prin tribunale si acum este un ghost politic.

Revolutia inghetata

Iarna pe ulita, cam asa se vede Romania de astazi. Zapada, frig, zapada, drumuri blocate, oameni blocati in drum, si morti care nu au reusit sa scape de urgia zapezii. Si desi tara se zbate din rasputeri pentru a supravietui, actuala putere e bucuroasa din plin ca "revolutia" a inghetat si a fost gonita de pe strazile din Bucuresti.

Sa fim cinstiti si realisti, un palc de oameni nu vor face revolutie, dar a fost bun pentru o isterie de proportii la unele televiziuni din Romania. Am incercat sa regasesc stirile in magazinele si ziarele de mare tiraj din lume, dar nici macar o coloana despre "rivolutzie". Nu ma indoiesc ca zilele partidului condus de Boc sunt numarate, si USL va prelua carma de la marinarul Basescu si vor naviga [din pacate] pe niste ape care nu sunt o solutie viabila pentru Romania. Iar marinarul Antonescu cu al lui locotenent Ponta nu vor ajunge departe [...] Se va ajunge exact la situatia creata de Fidesz in Ungaria. Ca zi in cazul premierului Orban, vorbe si vorbe cu mare incarcatura populista, dar vaporul ramane tot la mal.

Nu sunt ferm convins daca UDMR va ajunge in Parlamentul Romaniei, dar sunt ferm convins ca vor fi cetateni romani de etnie maghiara care nu vor vota cu ei, sau ca si un semn de protest, nu se vor prezenta la alegeri. Iar acum vor anticipate? Incep sa prezica voturile pierdute? Si-au dat seama ca barca marinarului se scufunda?

Confusing rhetoric

I am a bit confused and I can not understand the high quality populist speech of PM Orban. He was completely against the IMF loan, he claimed they will not modify/rewrite any law and recently something changed radically. "We are ready to consult on all issues" he declared for Wall Street Journal earlier this week.

In my reading this is similar to something like "complete surrender" as he would call it, because he claims he and his government is in war with the complete EU administration and monetary institutions. I am wondering how he will explain this one to his supporters who cheered for him a few weeks earlier and against the IMF. The Economist calls it a "back down" and it is quite realistic.

Were they aware that their "great leader" will capitulate? I do not think so, and now probably they are disappointed. So, I think we have seen the power of V. O. He can speak but once he should do something he is not capable anymore and he surrenders to Brussels. He is a great patriot [only at rhetoric level].

Quo Vadis Magyarorszag?

Nem erdekel, hogy Magyarorszag vagy Magyar Koztarsasag, nem erdekel, hogy bal vagy jobb, nem erdekel, hogy megye vagy varmegye, vagy hogy netan eppen pirosra vagy narancsra vannak festve a kormany hivatalok! Nem erdekelnek a nevek! Nem erdekelnek!

Nem erdekelnek a kifogasok, a nagy szavak, a populizmus, az arrogancia. Nem erdekelnek! Se a tuntetesek nem erdekelnek. Sem a szamok (lasd tuntetok) nem erdekelnek.

Ellenben erdekel az, hogy milyen iranyba halad az orszag, milyen a kulfoldi megiteles, milyen az orszag hitelkepessegi mutatoja, es hogy tekintenek rank az EU berkekben. Erdekel, hogy milyen a forint euro arany, erdekel, hogy mennyi munkahely teremtodik, milyen [remelhetoleg] EU konform torvenyek szuletnek, erdekel, hogy mindeki adot fizessen, erdekel, hogy milyen oktatas van es lesz Magyarorszagon, es erdekel minden ami az emberekkel kapcsolatos. Jandarmeria, oaia neagra a puterii

Romania fierbe. Nu sunt multi, dar se pare ca protestatarii sunt de neclintit. Si e de inteles. Nemultumirea e fara proportii si marea majoritate a populatie sufera din greu. Sunt ferm convins ca nici USL nu va face mare lucru, dar oamenii vor schimbare iar Basescu e in cadere libera considerand sondajele de opinii. Tandemul Antonescu-Ponta cred ca e mai bun dacat cel actual Basescu-Boc dar nu e o solutie viabila. Oricum, pe moment acest lucru e mai putin important. E bine ca i-au alungat pe politicieni din piata, caci revolta desi e impotriva presedintelui actual si a guvernului, dar in ansamblu e o revolta impotriva politicienilor in general.

Iar acum sa ne repezim la saracii jandarmi, caci daca nu ne putem lua de actuala putere, caci sunt baricadati la Palatul Parlamentului si Palatul Cotroceni, trebuie sa gasim niste vinovati. Oamenii protesteaza, jandarmii sunt trimisi in Piata Universitatii si au loc ciocniri. E normal desi nu sunt adeptul violentei. Asa sunt protestele, desi Gandhi a reusit sa demonstreze ca se poate si fara violenta. Un lucru e sigur: nu jandarmii fac protestele ci manifestantii si nu jandarmii incendiaza si dau cu pietre. Ei sunt garantia democratiei si se apara in cazul in care sunt atacati.

Ne luam de ei si ii condamnam pentru violente, dar nu intelegem ca ei stau in fata unui val de oameni care striga si protesteaza si care devin violenti fara nici un motiv oarecare. Aratam la posturile TV oameni maltratati, dar uitam sa povestim despre jandarmii raniti. Da, au fost raniti dar nu rani foarte grave. In 2006 la Budapesta se tragea in populatie cu bile de cauciuc si s-a soldat cu rani grave, dar nimeni nu a fost tras la raspundere.

Jandarmul raspunde la ordine, el este numai executor, comandantii trebuiesc invinuiti. Da, fiecare jandarm ar trebui sa poarte un numar de inmatriculare, ecusoane cu nume si gradele militare, caci altfel nu vom putea sa ii identificam in cazul in care vrem sa depunem plangeri importriva unuia sau altuia. Daca nu poarta acest numar de inmatriculare, ecuson, etc. nu e pentru ca el nu vrea ci este obligat sa nu o faca. Deci cam asa trebuie sa ne gandim la jandarmi. Si daca nu v-am convins incercati, doar incercati sa va puneti in pielea uni jandarm care face fata unui val de oameni de la care te poti astepta la orice.

Valsag van. Gazdasagi elsosorban, politikai es nem utolso sorban moralis es mindez nalunk. A gazdasaghoz nem ertek, csak azt hiszem, hogy mindezert a bankokat es a felelotlen bankarokat kellene okolni, mert ok juttattak oda a kulonbozo orszagokat, hogy eladosodjanak, no persze az is igaz, hogy nem lancon hurcoltak be az ugyfeleket, hogy alairjak a kolcsonoket. No de beszeljunk politikarol, mert ahhoz meg en is ertek, vagy legalabb is probalom magam ringatni ebben a tevhitben.

En 2002-ben hagytam el Magyaroszagot, es sajnos mar akkor veltem felfedezni egy hatalmas indulat tomeget, ami abban allt, hogy vagy velunk vagy ellenunk. Szoval a felek nem tudtak egymassal dialogust folytatni. Vagy MSZP vagy FIDESZ es nagyjabol ennyi. Vagy velunk vagy ellenunk. Visszatertem 2006-ban es sajnos hasonlo hangnem fogadott. Sokkolt a jelenet amikor a metroban durvan megszoltak egy embert, mert eppen valamilyen ujsagot olvasott. Ez nem demokracia!

A demokracia arrol szol, hogy mindenki szabadon nyilvanit velemenyt, ugy, hogy az mast ne sertsen, de legyen ra lehetoseg arra, hogy mindenki elmondja amit gondol. Nem kell egyeterteni, de nem kell valakit alacsonyabb rendunek nevezni, mert eppen nem ugy velekedik, mint mi. Sajnos ez ma oda fajult, hogy mar semmi eszerv nem szamit, csak az, hogy a barikad melyik oldalan allsz. Nem szamit, hogy ki mit csinal, csak legyel narancs vagy piros. Vagyis mar nem gondolkodunk realisan, emocionalis sikra terelunk mindent, nem itelkezunk csak erzunk. Egy orszagot nem lehet emocionalisan vezetni hanem csak ervekkel. Szerintem ez a hiba O. V. eseten is. Amit erez az nem is olyan rossz, csak lehetetlen.

Az utobbi idoben tobb levelet is kaptam, amelyben egyesek azt kerdezik, hogy "Es mi van ha masolt (lasd a plagium vadat, melyet a HVG megfogalmazott S. P. ellen)?". Es, hogy "Beken kell hagyni, miert mondjon le, hisz masok is masoltak?"

Nem tudom mit mondjak. Szoval mar nem szamit, hogy valaki netan hazudik, netan masol es becstelenul szerez doktori cimet, de azon az oldalon all amelyiken kell es akkor feloldozasa van. V. hazudott, hisz a 1M munkahelynek nyoma sincs, manapsag arrol egyeztetnek, hogy megbuntetik Magyaroszagot (lasd EU) es az euro 320 ft er, beismertek, hogy nem jogosak bizonyos torvenyek, de ez sem erv. Ok a jobboldal kepviseloi es akkor nekik minden el van nezve. Hogy a felreertest elkeruljuk, hasonlo a helyzet a baloldal eseten is. Ott is jogos volt, hogy belelottek az akkor "csocselleknek" titulalt tuntetok koze es a sor hosszu!

Sajnos nalam nem igy mukodnek a dolgok, es ennek nagyon orvendek. Remelem meg vannak masok is akik hasonloan velekednek, de sejtem, hogy manapsag kisebbsegben vagyunk. Az bizonyos, hogy egy orszag es annak vezetese nem megoldhato erzesekkel. Tenyek es ervek kellenek. Es ezek most hianyoznak.

A tortenelem ismetlodik

Nehez lesz majd beismerni, de amit most latok azt latni veltem 2006 oktobereben, amikor a tomegek az utcara vonultak Budapesten, es ezert oket lovas rendorok, konygaz, gumi lovedekek es megfelemlites fogadta.

Mi fog tortenni? Semmi. Lemondas kizarva, mert egy megelhetesi politikus kitart a vegsokig es kicsavarja a madatumanak minden csepjet es ez valahol ertheto. Mashol mar lemondtak volna, habar az arab tavasz is sok aldozatot kovetelt, addig ameddig tavozasra nem adtak a fejuket a diktatorok. A hideg es a reakcio hiany sejtem majd meghozza az eredmenyet, es a tuntetoknek idovel majd el fog menni a kedve a tuntetestol.

Es jonnek majd a valasztasok, es a PDL el fog csufosan bukni, es az USL folenyesen fog nyerni es majd azt csinaljak amit az aktualis Fidesz ma Magyaroszagon. A gond nem az, hogy hatalom valtas lesz, hanem az, hogy sem egyik oldal sem masik oldal nem kepes realis megoldast nyujtani egy nyomorban levo orszagnak. Kicserelodnek a nevek, atfestik a falakat es marad a nyomor es az ehezes es a munkanelkuliseg.

Semmi egyeb csak ismetlodik a tortenelem! Szomoru, hogy nem vagyunk kepesek tanulni, hanem ujra es ujra elkovetjuk ugyanazon hibakat! Az emberi butasag hatartalan!

Gafa enorma din PR-ul presedintelui

E doar marinar, scuze, capitan de nava, dar omul a stiut pana acum cum sa navigheze printre oameni, desi putem sa ne dam seama de calitate cand vedem cine i se alatura (din pacate chiar si Plesu la un moment dat sau Manolescu, Liiceanu sau Cartarescu caci Tismaneanu si Patapievici tin mortis la dansul chiar si astazi) care s-au cam lepadat de el in ultimul timp.

E de inteles, pozitiile, functiile nu trebuiesc uitate si pe la noi acestea din urma sunt foarte importante. Daca nu suntem capabili sa le obtinem pe baza de merite, macar sa le avem pentru loialitate si slugarnicie. Cu meritele e cam greu in Romania, dar se pare ca e ceva specific Romaniei post decembriste.

In primul mandat, presedintele se ducea printre oameni, dadea mana cu oricine, era de al lor. In al doilea mandat deja atitudine s-a schimbat, desi "i-am ciuruit" afirma dansul. Nu mai mergea intre oameni, iar cand era obligat prin functia pe care o detinea, era primit foarte ostil, caci "reformele" nu le mai placeau oamenilor.

Acum mai mult sta inchis in Palatul Cotroceni, caci dragostea fata de presedintele Basescu s-a cam spulberat, si s-a instalat dispretul si ura. E cam trist sa nu mai poti circula linistit in oras in mijlocul poporului care te-a ales.

Iar acum Dr. Raed Arafat a venit la Realitatea TV si a explicat de ce se opune privatizarii in parte a SMURD-ului. Si iata gafa: presedintele Romaniei suna in direct la postul de televiziune, il atentioneaza pe Dr. Arafat. Si mai hazliu, in felul caracteristic dansului ne mai incanta si cu o ghicitoare "Cine credeti ca o sa plece?". Aceasta ghicitoare a fost cea mai frumoasa perla rostita de presedinte. Nu stia saracul ce va declansa ...

Au inceput manifestari pasnice si mai putin pasnice in marile orase din tara, pentru sustinerea fostului subsecretar de stat, care s-au transformat treptat in manifestari contra presedintelui. Vineri s-a retras legea in chestiune caci presedintele afirma: "Nimeni din sistem nu vrea schimbarea acestuia sau foarte putini o vor, probabil medicii mai tineri sai cei la mijloc de cariera. Spitalele nu vor schimbarea, medicii de familie nu vor schimbarea, sistemul de urgenta nu vrea schimbarea. Inteleg prin toate semnalele publice ca si o mare parte din public nu vrea schimbarea sistemului de sanatate". Esec total domnule presedinte. Esec total. PR = 0!

A fost o gafa enorma interventia in direct, dar sunt ferm convins ca nici astazi nu e constient presedintele de gravitate ghicitorii. Prostia e fara limite. Desi violentele vor genera doar noi violente, sper ca manifestarile sa continue dar pasnic.

Am vazut si niste opinii din partea "liderilor" din opozitie, dar se vede ca incearca sa profite de nemultumirea maselor. Ce ei nu au putut sa faca, se pare ca poate un sirian naturalizat roman. The plagiarism moved from the Bundestag to the Sandor Palota

The Sandor Palota is the residence of the current president of Hungary [Dr.] Pal Schmitt. Due some recent document published at www.hvg.hu, the Ph.D. submitted by the president seems to be mainly just a translation of a work written by some Bulgarian diplomat Nyikolaj Georgijev, entitled "Analyse du programme olympique" without mentioning in particular the reference of the incriminated parts, though the work is mentioned as reference in the thesis.

The original work is written in french, however the similarity encountered in the hungarian version -submitted by Pal Schmitt-, is obvious. It is kind of a word-by-word translation of the original one. Please refer to the document to compare the original text with the translated one. Basic french and hungarian knowledge is sufficient to spot the obvious.

I hope soon (!) there will be some press conference to confirm or infirm this news, but unfortunately I have the bad feeling that the zu Guttenberg effect just reached the current hungarian president. If there is a confirmation of the plagiarism, definitely the Ph.D. title should be redrawn immediately, and I think the resignation letter should be written.

P.S. He might compete with the former german Federal Minister of Defence, in order to see who was detected first or who committed more plagiarism.

Nem tudom, de mi valahogy mindig igy vegezzuk. Elaruljuk egymast, nincs egyetertes kozottunk, egyesek a Turani atkot okoljak, jomagam inkabb a buszkeseget, a gogot, az arroganciat, mert ebben mi magyarok nem ismerunk hatart.

No persze buszkek lehetunk, mert rettegesben tartottuk egykoron Romat, megallitottuk a torokot, harcoltunk vesztesek oldalan az utolso verig, az orszagot feldaraboltak, mi meg sirtunk, enekeltunk es harangoztunk, de semmit nem tettunk a megakadalyozasaert. Igaz, akkor nem is lehetett volna, de sajnos utana sem. 56-ban ujra megismert a vilag, mert fellazadtunk az elnyomas ellen, de sajnos meg be sem jarta joforman a hir a vilagot, es maris leigaztak.

Nos szoval igy allunk. Ma meg arrol vagyunk hiresek, hogy nyirbaljuk a demokraciat, hazudunk a nepnek, a forint melyzuhanasban es elnokok irnak nekunk levelet, hogy a jo utra teritsenek, mert a hatalom es az arrogancia es valoszinunek tartom, hogy a hozzanemertes kezd tetemes mereteket olteni es vezeti az orszagot a pusztulasba.

A vasfuggony bezart, ujra aldozatok voltunk, es egyre ellehetetlenitettek a sorsunk. Megszuntettek iskolainkat, szinhazainkat, egyetemeinket, intezmenyeinket, es naprol napra sorvadtunk, habar volt sok ertelmes ember aki segitett, aki tett annak erdekeben, hogy ez ne igy tortenjen, de a folyamatot nem tudtuk megallitani.

Es vegre eljott 1989 december es azt hittuk, hogy most ez a mi napunk. Tevedtunk. A marosvasarhelyi esemenyek megmutattak, hogy gyengek es vedtelenk vagyunk, es ki vagyunk szolgaltatva. Sokak elmenekultek es mas orszagokat gazdagitanak. Masok megmaradtak es harcoltak. Csak mara mar nem a nemzetert harcolnak hanem magukert. Valahogy nem tisztes, hogy valaki 20 ev utan is azonos szekben uljon, foleg ha nem erdemli meg a szeket. De nalunk sajna igy van. Es nekunk, ertunk mit tesznek? Kerik a szavazatainkat, olykor kedvesek a kampanyokban, mosolyognak, beszelnek az eterben, de tenni nem tesznek semmit. No de megsem. Utca neveket. Igen, utca neveket adnak. Es ennek fejeben hagyjuk, hogy jatszak kis jatekaikat, es az erdelyi magyarokat nyomorba kergessek. Segitettek, hogy 25% csokkenjenek a fizetesek a kozszferaban, hogy nojjenek az adok, segitettek, hogy az oktatas oda sullyedjen ahova, es nem tesznek semmit azert, hogy nekunk jobb legyen. Hogy magyarazhato, hogy mig a nemzet nyomorog, ok hatalmas autokat vezetnek, hatalmas hazakat epitenek mi meg elszegenyedunk? Mivel magyarazhato ha nem azzal, hogy ellenunk fordultak.

A kerdes, hogy mi erdelyi magyarok mikor ertjuk meg ezt a dolgot es mikor lepunk fel ellenuk? Nem tehetunk kulonosebbet, de megtagadhatjuk toluk a szavazatainkat es meg kell tagadnunk, azert, hogy elbukjanak es "tetemeiken" uj nemzedek sarjadjon.

Inkabb kuzdjunk masok ellen, mert oket legalabb ismerjuk es tudjuk mi vezerli oket, de a sajat fajtank csak atver, megalaz es hatba dof. Sajnos ilyenek vagyunk es ez nem is fog valtozni egyhamar. Gondoljuk meg jol mikor elmegyunk szavazni, hogy kinek a kezebe helyezzuk a sorsunkat! Gondoljuk meg!

Restart the engines

Here we are. We just entered a brand new year after some nice Christmas holidays. The year behind was quite a challenging one: the eurozone started its decline (hopefully not for a long period), the Arab (Spring) revolutions installed "democracies" in different countries, the US soldiers left Iraq, the former german Interior Minister, zu Guttenberg was discovered as a cheater with his Ph.D. thesis, the last communist leader in North Korea died, Japan was hit by a deadly tsunami and earthquake, and many others things have happened last year...

I hope the year 2012 will bring more joy, democracies and economical stability. Of course this year will be the end of some political careers too [...].

I wish you all the best for this brand new year, a lot of fun, achievements, kids, joy, happiness, ... and all you can think of but in order to get all this, right now it is time to restart the engines.

A politika mentes unnep

Nos hat szo szerint ilyen a mostani unnep. Semmi politika, semmi TV es szenny, hanem sokkal inkabb csak a csalad es a baratok. Meg a szamitogep is hatterbe szorult, kimaradtak az ujsag olvasasok, es minden egyeb (lasd pl. Dexter). Tokeletes.

Sejtem januarban ujra visszater a politika iranti ehsegem, de most nem erdekel. Sem a miniszterelnok, sem a miniszterei, sem Koreaban a groteszk jelenetek a Vezer ravatalanal, sem semmi. Nem erdekel(t) a politika. Meg azon is csak nevettem, mikor megkerdeztek Frunda urat, hogy: "Mi az RMDSZ-re vagy a PDL-re szavaztunk?", es csak kinos hummoges volt a valasz az eterben (lasd Gaga Radio) a szenator ur reszerol. Valahogy nem erdekelt.

Erezni az otthont, erezni azokat akik fontosak, errol szol(t) az unnep es szerencsere meg nincs vege es ujabb csodalatos napok kovetkeznek. Hogyan valjunk nevetsegesse?

A mai magyar vezetes utmutatot irhatna a nevetsegesse valasbol. Ugy tunik, hogy zsigerbol csinaljak es meg buszkek is ra. Ez a legnagyobb gond. Kovetkezetessegbol meg jelesre buknak es amint latom hamar felejtenek.

Engedetlensegre buzditottak nehany eve, ma a jelenlegi ellenzek csinalja ugyanezt, de ez ma mar nem jo. Ha az ellenzek kivonul a Parlament uleseirol, akkor azzal vadoljak oket, hogy akadalyozzak a torvenyhozast, habar ok is evekig ezt csinaltak. No es persze "kutya adot" vetnek ki, hogy "vedelmezzek a magyar kutya fajtakat". Ma holnap ha nem viselunk vitezkoteses mentet, talan mar akkor is adot kell fizetnunk, hisz nem vagyunk elegge "magyarok".

Fura, hogy mara mar ellensegek, de a Romaniai Magyar Demokrata Szovetseg is hasonloan populista maszlaggal eteti a szavazoit. Magyar utcanevekrol beszel, magyar iskolakrol regel, es ezzel etetik a szavazoikat evek ota, es annak ellenere, hogy semmilyen gazdasagi intezkedeseket nem szorgalmaznak, butitjak a nepet. Szerencsere Erdelyben mar sokak raebredtek a szavak mogotti uressegre, es ez remelhetoleg latszani is fog a jovo evi valasztasokban. Mar azt sem tudjak, hogy magukat jobb vagy baloldalinak nevezzek. Home for Christmas

Today is Christmas. One nice day of the year, probably the most important one for christians all over the word. They celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Savior.

"But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are small among all clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be the ruler over Israel, whose origins are of old, from ancient times." (Micah 5:2)

Everybody is going home for Christmas, to celebrate with the family. It is all about faith, family and love. Of course Santa Claus is also involved due to the consumer society but this is another story.

Probably many of you have already youe own house, apartment and once you are back home in the house of your parents, the house of your youth, something amazing is happening. You can get back your bed, your old room, your shoe box with plenty of "precious" things inside and somehow you just go back in time. You are a kid again and you enjoy the Christmas with your loved ones in that old room of yours full of memories.

It is not just Christmas anymore but an emotional bond too, which gives a special felling of Christmas. I Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Az elme gyozelme az ego felett, avagy egy utazas ropke tortenete

Nos kezdjuk az elejen. Ma (marmint ez kedd, december 20.) kb. 3 orat aludtam, utana ebredes, papir es uveg hulladek elszallitasa a kozeli begyujtobe, egy kis kitero a bankautomatanal, majd meg az utolso csokik megvasarlasa, es maris lehetett volna indulni. Igen csak eppen kimaradt a csomagolas. Uram mit nem adnek ha ez a csomagolas dolog kimaradhatna …. az eletembol.

De nem maradt ki, igy hat tetszett vagy sem, ezt is meg kellett csinalni. No es persze az ido meg csak kattant elore, es meg mindig nem volt vege az aldatlan csomagolasi hadmuveletnek. Ki talalta ki a csomagot? Az ember egyetlen kis hatizsakkal kellene utazzon, mint azt tettuk regebb. Emlekszem, nekem valami katona zold hatizsakom volt, es nagyon buszke voltam ra, de hat manapsag az embereknek elment a jozan eszuk, es mindenukkel utaznak, beleertve ruhat, vizet, parfumot, kiskutya, kismacska, mojo-t, ilyen outfit, olyan outfit no es persze talan erdemes lenne kulon fejezetet szentelni, hogy mi minden elektromos kutyu nem lapul a nepek borondjeben, taskaiban, vagy netan hatizsakjaiban.

Hat kezdjuk a telefonnal, utana a laptop, az ujabb generaciok mar netbook (ez amolyan osszepreselt netbook, de a kedves holgyek meregdraga retikuljebe is befer, es persze ada Steve az iPad-et es annak, szin, meret es tulajdonsagokkal tarkitott utodait. No de maradjunk csak az utazasnal. Legivasut es busz combo volt szukseges, hogy eljussak a repterre, es miutan a viragaimat megontoztem es bucsut intettem nekik, el is indultam a zuhogo esoben, mert hat jol kellett induljon a nap, nem de? El is aztam ugy rendesen, de uromben az orom, hogy elertem a buszt, es meg is erkeztem 1 oraval a gepem indulasa elott a Dortmund-i Repterre. Csodalatos!

No de leven, hogy csoda nincs, hamar ra kellett jonnom, hogy ahelyett, hogy 5:00 pm otthon lehessek Marosvasarhelyen, Wizzair-ek ugy dontottek, hogy elvezzem inkabb a repter vendegszeretetet meg kb. 5 ora es 30 percig, hisz valoszinu nem volt ra meg alkalmam igazan megismerkednem minden szegletevel. Es persze ilyenkor szokott jonni az a sok […] amit most kihagyok, de erdekes modon nem jott semmi. Marmint az nem jott ami ilyenkor szokott, bizonyos szavak sorrendben, majd az idegeskedes mertekevel egyenesen aranyosan egyre kaotikusabb sorrendben valo ismetelgetese, ahol igencsak szerepett kapott volna a Wizzair. No persze a hangutanzo szavak is fontosak a magyar nyelvben, nem tagadom, de most eppen mas kategoriaban osztunk nyerteseket.

Meglepodtem, mert nem igy tortent, marmint a fentebb emlitett szavakkal. A 4 euros voucher-en is csak nevetni tudtam, hisz sokra nem eleg, talan egy uditore, de minden egyszerre viccesse alakult, es semmi haragot nem ereztem. Mosolyogtam, nezelodtem, megismertem a repter minden szegletet es zugat, sikerul beszereznem nehany kis ajandekot is, melynek sokak majd orvendeni is fognak. Da. Asa as putea-o caracteriza. USL a pierdut presedentia Senatului dupa debarcarea cu show si tam-tam a domnului Geoana, care nu numai ca a pierdut scaunul si pozitia de al doilea om in stat, dar a fost si exclus din partidul domniei sale. E cam ciudat ca un om in care si-au pus toate sperantele, acum este un outsider fara mari puteri in Parlament.

Interesant, ca nici unul din "liderii de marca" nu prea au comentat prostia lui Ponta, si se plateste la greu, dar prostia si domnia (versiunea Ponta) trebuie platit fara culoare politica. Ma intreb cum va explica liderul PSD in fata partidului prostia facuta? Iarasi se adevereste ca Ponta nu este omul care poate salva Romania. Se pare ca este nu numai tanar ci si prost, si nu prea ii ies calculele si procentele ravnite de USL (60%) scad pe zi ce trece. Nu sunt sigur daca vor reusi sa rastoarne guvernul actual PDL-UDMR-UNPR.

Hogy beindul(t) azt sejtettem, de hogy mikor azt nem tudtam megitelni. Ugy veszem eszre, hogy az IMF-el kotott megallapodas miatt mas nem maradt, mint a kommunikacio, mert hat valamit kellett mondani azok utan, hogy a vezerkar (lasd Matolcsy penzugyminiszter) nehany honapja egyhanguan elutasitotta egy esetleges kolcson lehetoseget hangoztatva, hogy "a haza nem elado". Fura, de mara elado?

Kosa kepviselo ma vedi a kormany donteset, leven, hogy az IMF-nek a veluk kotott szerzodes nagyon jo, csak az ellenzeknek a hasonlo szerzodese nem jo. Strange. Today Mircea Geoana was expelled from its own camp, the Social Democrate Party. This guy was the presidential candidate two years ago and right now is a "political leper". Nobody likes him and 90% of the party officials voted against him. Interesting.

I am just wondering what kind of message is sent to the electorate by the opposition parties doing such a "public execution" of one of its leaders?! How such an opposition is able to win the elections in 2012? Honestly, I have serious doubts and I am certainly sure the Ponta-Antonescu tandem will not solve the problems of Romania. They do not represent a reliable solution.

P.S. The comments of Mr. Geoana after the vote were completely unprofessional. Calling his own colleagues and party Bolshevik, and its leader a marionette of Iliescu and Nastase did not helped him but rather showed that he is not able to accept his defeat. It seems the history repeats in the party. A few years ago Nastase was also banned from the higher positions and at that time Geoana was the leader of the same party. Would it be a possible payback? [...]

Pe meleagurile noastre astazi auzim de "sus Guvern" si mai nou si mai precipitat "jos Guvern", si credibilitate zero, adica mai nimic si pe buna dreptate. Presedintele meu ne asigura in 2008 ca va ocoli criza Romania, dar s-a inselat. [...] Nu se vor micsora salariile si pensiile si iarasi nu a avut dreptate. Nu ne imprumutam de la FMI, pe cand astazi ne-am vandut si sufletul, asa ca data viitoare ar fi cam cazul sa punem pe Dealul Mitropoliei un reprezentat al FMI si mai putin niste moaste sa ne inchinam. Pe moment tandemul Basescu-Boc se cam duce pe Apa Sambetei, dar din sursa se naste unul nou, asa numitul tandem Antonescu-Ponta.

Oricine e mai bine decat un marinar la carma tarii, care se pare ca "uita" sa declare niste venituri si cumpara niste vile "cat China" sa il parafrazez pe un bun prieten. Totusi am o certitudine, ca nici acest tandem nascut in cotloanele USL nu e de bine, si cu trecerea timpului unii si-au dat deja seama ca desi profesorul de istorie are ceva clasa si tinuta, totusi nu este cu mult peste tot amintitul marinar de cursa lunga. Interesant este ca "greii din partid", precum senatorul Vosganian si-a dat seama ca acest tandem e la fel de fragil si nu poarta in sine ceva stabil, de durata si de incredere, asa ca pornesc campania PR pentru a crea un nou mit: "tandemul credibil". Pentru a face acest lucru, senatorul propune ca "personalitati" sa ajute la credibilizarea incredibilului. Daca nu avem mituri le cream! .... Si vezi asa, s-a creat "mitul credibilitatii"!

Marinarul de vas vs. Profesorul de istorie

Ce este comun intr-un un marinar de cursa lunga si un profesor de istorie? E simplu. Unul e presedinte, celalalt vrea sa fie presedinte. Si chiar daca lupta in tabere adverse, desi doctrina lor de partid le propulseaza in aceiasi dreapta a esichierului politic romanesc, din pacate cu trecerea timpului ne dam seama ca se aseamana. Desi actualul presedinte e de neegalat prin tot ce face, posibilul presedinte ii cam calca pe urme.

La alegerile din 2009 Geoana a pierdut in fata lui Basescu, caci vizita la Vantu l-a cam dezavantajat si lumea si-a dat seama ca ar fi fost mai bine Antonescu, dar in ultimii ani oamenii si-au dat seama ca Antonescu nu doreste nimic altceva decat sa fie presedinte. Da e cea mai mare functie in stat, dar din pacate Antonescu nu e omul care trebuie nici chiar cu Ponta la carma executivului.

Ultima gafa de comunicatie a unui candidat la presedintie sa numeasca o doamna invarsta "pensionara nesimtita". Inca nu am ajuns la "tiganca imputita", dar suntem pe drumul cel bun. Incep sa inteleg de ce discursul in Romania a ajuns la un nivel de mahala.

P.S. Doamna respectiva a iesit la pensie si pe moment acumuleaza pensia si banii luati de la TVR, care intradevar e o nesimtire, caci avem someri la gramada, dar sa califici acest lucru la maxima audienta in acest fel, arata nivelul adevarat al unui posibil presedinte al Romaniei.

E bine sa stii ca MS Regele Mihai I nu va ajunge la acest tip de discurs si asta dovedeste diferenta de clasa dintre un monarh, un marinar si un profesor care nici macar n-a profesat mult timp.

Amazing. Of course everybody was aware that the big shots of EU will manage the crisis and they will help out Greece in this financial crisis but slashing 50% of the debts that is really something.

I am certainly sure in the next couple of weeks/months there will be some other country asking the same debts cut. The precedent was created! Spend the money guys, spend the money! There will be no consequence! It is nice to be an EU member in the euro zone!

MS Regele Mihai I, La Multi Ani!

Nu sunt regalist, caci nu stiu cum era inainte de 1947, dar un lucru e cert. Omul acesta are ceva ce le lipseste actualilor guvernanti. Numai unii s-au nascut cu dreptul de a conduce o tara, ceilalti doar incearca cu mai mult sau mai putin succes.

Astazi MS Regele Mihai I implineste varsta de 90 de ani, si dupa 65 de ani, se adreseaza din nou poporului roman in Parlamentul Romaniei. Cred ca a fost un moment istoric, solemn si sunt mandru ca am trait acest moment si am putut "asista" la acest moment. Nu ma intereseaza cine a organizat (vezi P.H. si partidele PNL si PSD) evenimentul dar a fost un moment magic si de neuitat.

Tot eu ma rusinez, sa vad ca presedintele meu si prim-ministrul actual al Romaniei lipsesc de la eveniment pe baza unor false atributii. Si marilor minti luminate se alatura si ministrii (cu exceptia lui Predoiu si ministrilor de la UDMR). Asta se numeste pe romaneste prostie si incultura, dar cred ca de la un marinar nu prea putem sa ne asteptam la mai mult. Este ceva care nu le face cinste, dar poate au nevoie de ceva ragaz sa consulte DEX-ul, sa inteleaga adevaratul sens al cuvantului "cinste" si "respect".

Se tem pentru scaune? Nu au de ce, dar totusi au preferat sa nu omagieze acest demnitar care a facut mai mult pentru tara decat toti acestia la un loc. Lipsa de scoala, lipsa de educatie si-a aratat adevarata fata. Ma bucur insa foarte tare ca cei multi chiar daca sunt impotriva monarchiei au fost acolo si s-au comportat asa cum se cuvine si au omagiat un adevart sef de stat, singurul in viata care si-a spus cuvantul la sfarsitul razboiului. Regele Mihai I e deja parte integranta a istoriei pe cand acesti parveniti doar spera sa ajunga niste nume [de uitat] pe o fila de carte. Sa nu uitam de Iliescu care nu l-a lasat pe rege sa isi viziteze tara! Doar in 1997, datorita lui Emil Constantinescu i-a fost permis sa intre in tara si sa primeasca pasaport romanesc. (Comentariu: Merita vazut intregul discurs si cum Iliescu este evitat! Super si merita sa fie tratat ca atare.)

Ps. Sincer sa fiu de cativa ani am incercat sa ma joc cu ideea de monarhie constitutionala, si putem sa vedem ca functionaza de minune in Spania, Anglia, Suedia, Olanda. In Romania? Nu sunt ferm convins ca ar functiona, dar personal mi-ar face mare placere ca nu un marinar sa semneze legile votate de Parlament ci un suveran care are harul si menirea de a semna asemenea documente de importanta majora pentru natiune.

Erdemes ezen elgondolkozni, no persze nem azoknak akik vakon hisznek a vezerben, mert ott az eszerveknek sincs [sok] eselyuk.

Romania: Special edition

You can see such "special edition" things on TV channels on some particular occasions. President Obama during the State of the Union is addressing the american nation (once a year), the deadly tsunami and and earthquake earlier this year in Japan covered by CNN and other major news channels, the Nobel prize award ceremony, the Oscars (Academy Award), the royal wedding of Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton, etc. can be considered as special editions in the life of a news channel. They are really major events on the planet and many people are interested in such special editions. Of course such event do not occur often.

I do not know what is happening, but in Romania we have special editions each night. The romanian news channels advertise their talk-shows as being special editions all the time. Almost each night there is a breaking news. We have to admit we are special.

Either you listen your president addressing an audience at London School of Economics using an English which is kind of strange in order not to use more harsh epithet on the poor sailor, either you just realize that a bunch of high officials are corrupt, either you just realize that the population is paying higher prices for the energy, though, we could use our natural gas supplies, but each day we discover something "special". We are this kind of special type of nation. While other countries like Germany try to stop the economical crisis and they do special things w.r.t. this, we do other type of things and we are also special. Of course nobody would like to be that special, however we manage each day.

Last Sunday we were special because an american basketball player was punched in a bar and he just died. Our EU representatives in the EU Parlament and they are not able to speak not even Romanian. Probably this is also special. Similar speciality can be encountered in the percentage of the high school students during the baccalaureate as only 45% of the students passed this exam. The Interior Minister can not pronounce correctly the word "braconaj" and he comes up with something like "branconaj". Yes, probably we are special, really special!

Batalia mintilor luminate

Sincer sa fiu, nu stiu daca procedez corect incat sa ma cobor la nivelul starurilor din media romaneasca, dar vrand sau nevrand, am vazut o emisiune cu M. B. in care distinsul blestema colegul din breasla R. M. Chiar daca as vrea, nu voi reusi sa reproduc versurile si nici nu merita sa irosesc cuvinte. Unul se poarta ca un analfabet si castiga teren si audienta doar prin grosolania cu care se rasteste la altii cu o engleza la nivelul presedintelui meu desi el e ferm convins ca e tare si sincer sa fiu vorbeste o romana de ma rusinez. Celalalt pare un mare fan a lui Basescu si da si el lectii in stilul lui aparte, deci cum puteti vedea nu ma consider un fan ai acestori domni, mari cum se considera dansii.

Cam asta e nivelul la noi in tara. Ne blestemam, ne injuram si crestem in audiente. E de inteles, caci nivelul la noi nu creste (vezi examenele ratate de la bacalaureat si promovarea de 45%) ci doar scade si la acest nivel avem nevoie de baieti tari ca M.B. si R. M.

Yep. He is gone. I think it is useless to write some sentences about the personality of Steve Paul Jobs (1955-2011). Either you like him, either you hate him. There is no other way.

However, nobody can deny he was a visionary who defined a clear path for the computer industry creating the brand Apple and gadgets like iPad, iPhone, iPod, iMac, MacBook Air and many other things with that particular logo.

It is amazing how many quotes, youtube videos have been shared via facebook somehow connected to the Apple guru. I think even people not knowing much about him realized the great personality of this college drop-out, who was raised in a foster family who built a an empire from a family garage and explained to Stanford graduates in 2005 that "connecting the dots" is more important than graduating from an Ivy League university. He is just simply amazing! The world just lost a genius, a visionary.

Lumina de la capatul tunelului

Nu exista asa ceva in Romania. Recent m-am intors acasa din China si mi-am dat seama ca la noi lucrurile nu prea evolueaza. Nu ca nu evolueaza doar situatia economica, politica, morala scade pe zi ce trece. Nu se intampla mai nimic, toti se concentreaza deja la alegerile din 2012, si putin le pasa de oameni. Ei doar trebuie sa voteze, si doar atat. Pensii, salarii? Doar la anul, caci atunci trebuiesc prostiti oamenii. Si din pacate romanul poate fi prostit si guvernantii sunt constienti de acest fapt, asa ca nici nu se obosesc sa faca ceva pentru "cetateanul turmentat" din Romania.

Poate ca cei multi ma vor condamna, dar ce am vazut in China m-a surprins. Oamenilor le este frica dar totul merge ca pe roate. O astfel de "democratie" ar functiona si aici la noi me meleagurile mioritice. Problema la noi e ca oamenii nu mai au repere si societatea se destrama.

Ne trebuie un sistem ferm unde omului sa ii fie frica sa faca lucruri care nu trebuiesc facute. La noi in schimb, il batem pe politist, platim spaga, facem legi care convin numai unora, angajam doar nepotii, fratii si surorile, injuram la televizor ca birjarul, interpretam legile cum am fi niste doctori in drept, nu mai stim sa ne comportam civilizat, inchidem fabrici, uzini si firme cu miile si ne mandrim ca avem crestere economica de 0%.

Amazing. Infinite. There is no [appropriate] word to describe such wonder. It lies all over China, ending in Inner Mongolia. I had the same feeling a couple of years back in India, when I visited the Taj Mahal. I wrote the following short message to some friends: "I've just seen the Miracle. The Taj is a gift from God, built by Man to echo in the Eternity." The Wall is something similar. I have never seen something greater than these stones and fortifications. Impressive.

I reached the Wall yesterday morning around 6:30 am and you can imagine how surprised I was. There was nobody there. Only the wall and myself. The feeling was overwhelming. We waited until they open the gates and we started [with my colleague] to climb the wall on our own. Sunrise, the wall and 2 guys. It was kind of a never ending story. You just climb, you just go and go and the wall is never ending. There is a new fortification, a new hill, more way to go. No tourists, nobody just the wall listening our breath and footsteps on the stones. Honestly we started to climb with some enthusiasm but near the top I have to confess it was not that easy anymore. The steps are very big and the way too steep. Finally, after 1h of effort we got to the top. Amazing feeling I have to tell you. All over the mountains, the sun and the Great Wall of China, a wonder of the world.

After a few minutes of joy we started our descent because our flight was waiting at Beijing, China. I am really happy about this achievement to climb on the wall and enjoy the peace, the sun and the greatness of this people. The way back we met some people and I encouraged them to continue because it is worth to see the top. Hopefully, many of them are proud to do this effort and climb to the top.

Au cam dat-o in bara comentatorii lui Basescu

Interesant. Acum cateva zile am aflat ca presedintele meu cu engleza lui de marinar trece peste ocean si viziteaza Statele Unite. Insa ca si in cazul vizitei de la Londra, comentatorii de marca (bagatori de seama pe bani multi) incercau sa micsoreze impactul vizitei, caci nu era intrevazut o vizita cu presedintele Obama. Si vezi Doamne! Presedintele meu a fost primit in Biroul Oval din Casa Alba de presedintele Obama si chiar si de vice-presedintele Biden.

Nu se stie inca ce s-a discutat, dar oricum, vreau sa il felicit pe presedintele meu. Daca a reusit sa negocieze chiar si ridicarea interdictiei de vize pentru cetatenii romani, atunci trebuie sa spun "chapeau", cum ar zice prietenii nostri francezi, care pe zi ce trece "ne iubesc" din ce in ce mai mult.

Ps. Astep comentariile bagatorilor de seama si a presedintelui meu care va avea loc maine daca nu ma insel la aeroport.

Ipocrizia antonesciana

Comentam/contestam clasele presedintelui meu si suntem foarte revoltati ca multi dintre noi in functii de conducere sunt analfabeti si ajung in pozitii din cauza unei coloraturi politice, dar ce am vazut astazi de la un posibil (?) presedinte mi-a confirmat faptul ca nici Basescu dar nici Antonescu nu are ce cauta la presedintia Romaniei.

Da, cei multi sunt/suntem ferm convinsi caci orice numai Basescu nu, dar cum trece timpul si se aproprie alegerile locale si parlamentare din 2012 incep sa imi dau seama ca legea (vezi convingere) se extinde si la actualul pretendent la presedintie. Nu e omul pregatit si nici Ponta nu e omul cu care sa poata sa scoata tara din impasul moral, strategic si economic . Domnul Antonescu afirma pe urma rezultatelor foarte slabe de la bacalaureat (sesiunea din toamna, 2011): "Nu poti ca la capatul unui ciclu scolar in care elevii s-au invatat cu un anumit ritm sa schimbi regulile jocului ....".

Deci daca inteleg eu bine romaneste, trebuie sa intelegem faptul ca asa e "ritmul" pe la noi si trebuie sa acceptam si sa toleram "regula jocului". Deci in acest moment un posibil presedinte justifica prostia, nepregatirea si analfabetismul la nivel inalt. Omul acesta candideaza la functia suprema din stat!

Ps. Pana acum am inventat basescianismul, dar cred ca e timpul sa creem un alt ism, mai precis antonescianismul. Pe moment din pacate personal nu vad in Romania o alternativa viabila la actuala guvernare.

Heraldica: pericol imens la integritatea Romaniei

Pe cand altii incerc sa treaca de criza economica si incerca sa creeze locuri de munca (vezi discursul presedintelui Obama) in Romania cel mai mare pericol se pare ca este heraldica, mai special un palos si mana care o tine in sigla IPJ Covasna. E hazliu dar asta e. Antena3 s-a ocupat in doua emisiuni de maxima audienta de aceasta tema si a pus "oamenii presedintelui" (vezi mogulul Voiculescu) in persoana doamnei Vranceanu Firea si domnul Gadea care se lauda zi si noapte cu premiile APTR sa investigheze aceasta imensa problema de interes national. Oamenii mor si nu mai iau subventii pentru caldura, dar ce mai conteaza, heraldica pune in pericol tara deci nu ne mai intereseaza nimic, doar iminentul pericol ce paste peste plaiurile mioritice.

Ma tem ca distinsii realizatori, mai sus mentionati, nu puteau face o emisiune despre faptul ca Dan Voiculescu, a primit a sentinta judecatoreasca (vezi ICCJ) definitiva si irevocabila privind statutul dansului de colaborator al Securitatii si trebuia gasit ceva repede si incendiar. Ingeniozitatea jurnalistului cu premii APTR este fara limite. Au scos din maneca cartea nationalista si pericolul ce inseamna acea sigla modificata care este personalizat pentru acel judet. E solutia ideala si se vinde [din pacate] ca painea calda in Romania si in tarile unde este instabilitate economica si/sau politica. Va avertizez, aveti grija, aceasta sigla [facuta conform legilor in vigoare] reprezinta pericol imens la securitatea nationala.

Ps. Ordinul 126/17.06.2011 care completeza Ordinul nr. 490/2008, privind insemnele heraldice ale structurilor MAI a fost semnat de ministrul Traian Igas.

It will never end, never ....

The European Union is rather huge, many countries are inside, still some others outside and Romania is somehow on the edge. Officially it is inside but technically, economically, and morally does not fit at all in this european landscape. Of course the Romanian Revolution has been consumed in '89, but the society is still not mature, they can not behave as real europeans and they do strange things. I do not want to mention all the stupidities occurring in the politics, the corruption and of course this "laissez faire" attitude. (Comment: Silviu Brucan, a former politician pictured some 20 years to be necessary to achieve the level of a real democratic country. I can state now, he was completely wrong. We need 50-100 years or maybe such time will never come.)

In the last few years, romanians invaded countries like Italy, Spain, etc. Higher wages, better conditions and civilized countries. Of course once this invasion all these conditions were lowered but still these democratic countries considered they might educate some of them. They failed completely. They offered them schooling, social welfare, jobs but it was not enough. Do not get me wrong. There are many high quality specimens from Romania working abroad and doing really nice jobs in different segments of those foreign societies but there is another segment, all those opportunist persons who do not want to work just get the benefits and do shameful things to get money, conditions, etc., from countries like France, England, Italy and Spain.

Somehow it is not right that 2% of the crimes committed in France is somehow linked to romanian citizens. It is a foreign country and people are afraid of some Romanian subjects. It is not right. It is not! The news agency France Presse states that in July the "romanian criminality" increased with 72,4% compared to the Q1 of the same period of the 2010 in the larger Paris metropolitan area. If we do such "performances" what is gone happen in the future? Are we gone be the danger of the EU? I can understand that the French Government is sending home some hundreds of romanian citizens. Even though EU regulations allow free travel and free passage in the EU space, it is mandatory to cope with the regulations and unfortunately some of us can not simply do so.

Can you imagine, how nice is to be a topic in the political agenda of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) for the next elections in France? Instead of discussing internal affairs they will win votes by proposing stopping the romanian criminality on French soil. Shame! Thank you dear [some] country fellows! Thank you! Good job! Well done! Congratulations!

Ciolanul in stanga sau in dreapta?

Momentul poate e inoportun, caci suntem in criza economica, si pretul aurului creste pe zi ce trece, dar ma aventurez sa compar situatia existenta a Romaniei cu situatia Ungariei inainte de 2010. Romania ca si Ungaria s-a rupt in doua tabere, ori este USL ori este PDL si alta solutie nu mai exista. Cei de la putere in frunte cu presedintele meu, - de care sincer sa fiu incerc cu disperare sa ma distantez, caci nu vreau si nu accept ca un astfel de om sa ma reprezinte in Parlamentul European si peste hotare - sunt Dumnezeii Romaniei si ei decid cine castiga, cine cade si se se intampla in Romania de astazi.

Pe baricade s-au aliat PSD si PNL, dupa parerea mea o alianta nefireasca (vezi USL), caci unul fiind de stanga iar cealalta de dreapta, dar trebuie sa intelegem ca oamenii vor putere si pentru a obtine puterea sunt dispusi sa treaca peste doctrina de partid, stat social si liberalism doar sa ajunga presedinte si prim ministru caci sa fim sinceri, sunt cele mai importante demnitati in stat. Problema e, ca putere de stanga, putere de dreapta, oamenii vezi Basescu, Ponta sau Antonescu sunt cam la acelasi nivel. Cum presedintele scoate o perla, din pacate liderii USL se coboara la acelasi nivel si raspund. Deci diferenta nu e mare. Doar numele difera, si poate cateva clase dar in principiu nimic special.

E ingrijorator. Nu avem in Romania de astazi o alternativa viabila care sa fie credibila si sa scoata tara din haosul si decadenta in care se scufunda. Nici Ponta nici Antonescu nu sunt oameni politici care sa aiba anvergura unor mari demnitari de stat. Nu sunt. Marea problema a societatii romanesti este ca nu avem oameni de marca in politica romaneasca si toti cei care erau credibili si scoliti au parasit politica si incearca sa se distanteze de existenta clasa politica.

Ps. Ciolanul ramane la cei fara scrupule care sunt capabili de orice pentru a ramane la putere sau a accede la acesta. Sa ne intelegem bine, orice solutie e mai buna ca presedintele Basescu, dar nu m-as baza nici pe Ponta nici pe Antonescu.

Rusinea jurnalismului romanesc

Da, cam acesta putem spune despre jurnalismul din Romania. Ma uitam la Anten3 unde doamna Vranceanu Firea intr-o tinuta de strand si mai putin imbracata ca un moderator de "prime time news" cum se auto-proclama dansa, se intreaba de ce oamenii se intereseaza mai mult de divortul fostului prim ministru Tariceanu si ea insusi se considera jurnalista "de clasa", caci pune intrebari "bune despre Tariceanu". Romania sufera, oamenii mor, suntem in pragul saraciei, suntem in declin moral dar cel mai important lucru la Antena3 este de ce o personalitate publica divorteaza. Omul este civilizat (vezi Tariceanu), da un comunicat de presa prin MediaFax si cere discretie dar doamna Firea se pare ca nu intelege mesajul. Si anunta ca emisiune ce urmeaza (Subiectiv cu R. D.) se va ocupa de acest subiect. Deci vezi jurnalism "de calitate" marca "Antena3". Usor usor Antena3 se tranforma in Cancan versiunea TV. Acesta e nivelul din Romania si in jurnalismul romanesc "de marca".

Nastase fiind invitat la emisiune, politicos, incearca sa evite subiectul, caci e de natura personala, dar dinstinsa jurnalista insista si insita fara nesfarsit. Acestia sunt jurnalistii nostrii de marca? Iau premii APTR la greu! Incep sa ma intreb cine dau aceste premii si care sunt criteriile pe baza carora se acorda acestor distinsi jurnalisti premii de merit.

Ps. Ei acum acuza actuala putere (pe drept fara indoiala) ca fura, ca totul merge pe nepotism, etc. dar ma intreb in momentul in care cei ce vor ajunge la putere (dupa parerea mea USL, chiar si poate UDMR) si incepe acelasi lucru (ca si in cazul Ungariei dupa alegerile din 2010) doar niste nume si partide se vor schimba cum vor reactiona cei mai de marca jurnalisti din Romania. Ma cam indoiesc ca vor face emisiuni despre niste afaceri ale lui Dan Voiculescu sau cum dadea informatii la Securitate despre membrii propriei familii sau .... caci sa fim seriosi afacerile sunt afaceri daca le face dreapta daca le face stanga. Poate atunci vor primi premiile APTR lingusitorii puterii actuale.

Looking for some references I have found on the Microsoft website that not only DBPL, ISI, etc. but also the Microsoft Academic Search is indexing the different research papers, counting the references, counting the number of citations and the co-authors of my papers. G-index, H-index is also calculated.

Even more, you can have citation-graphs, co-author graphs and co-author paths. And the surprise was: my Erdos number has been reduced from 5 to 4. It means that I have a co-author who's Erdos number is 3. The Erdos number of Paul Erdos is 0. As you might have realized, this is a recursive definition of the Erdos function (Erdos number).

President vs. President

A few days ago, the TV channel Antena3 made a whole "show" about the book "Romania under Basescu: Aspirations, Achivements and Frustrations during His First Presidential Term" edited by Ronald F. King and Paul E. Sum. Indeed, probably only just positive chapters will be found in the book from contributors from USA and Romania. You know, in these so-called post-communist countries presidents still believe the fact that if they can not realize anything , they can still pay [or force] others to write some nice things about them.

In Romanian there is a nice word for that, "elogii", however, nowadays, this is called PR. Ceausescu did the same, so I can even understand the same treatment 21 years later from some guys which were friends (Ion Iliescu) or subordinates to the communist regim (Traian Basescu).

Today, another president Mr. Iliescu appeared in the same TV channel presenting his book, describing the history of Romania in the last two decades. However, I have some doubts if he dared to spare some sections to the "Mineriade", himself being the mastermind of those dark times in the Romanian history. However, the PR worked to perfection, he is a national hero today. Unfortunately, we realize, in Romania nothing is happening. One president is coming, the other is leaving and nothing is changed. Of course, this is not covered in the books of the presidents ....

No more tabu: we hate our neighbor

During last week terrible things happened in Oslo, Norway. More than 80 people were killed because somebody realized his diabolic plan. Probably for US the 9/11 is a sad day, a milestone of the american history, and I would say for the hole world, but I am certainly sure the massacre of Utoya will be burnt deep in the memories of the Norwegians.

However, either we want to admit or not, in Europe there is a problem, a huge one. US solved more or less this problem, but we should not forget about those segregations in the south of the country. In Europe seems to be a new wave of hatred against your follow neighbor.

Indeed, in the last 20-30 years a huge immigration has started from 3rd world countries and also Eastern European countries toward Western European countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, The Netherlands, etc. Of course, the different language, the education, the faith, behavior was mixed on european soil and the diversity, even though it is a nice concept seems to fail. You can just remember the statement of Angela Merkel ...., "the approach [to build] a multicultural [society] and to live side-by-side and enjoy other ... has failed, utterly failed."

Of course, as we claim being a democratic society, we have laws to protect people, but nobody can deny the growing hatred against the others. Is a small seed at the beginning and is just growing and growing and might end up in such acts as I just mentioned earlier. There is no authority or law to stop this. None. I think we should start talking about this issue and we should not treat this problem as a tabu anymore.

Noi, cei din linia intai

Da, e titlul unui film romanesc. Daca nu ma insel, regizat de marele regizor Sergiu Nicolaescu si pe vremuri era unul din filmele preferate, caci altceva nu prea aveam voie, dar erau timpuri de alta data.

Ma uit astazi la invitatii "de marca din linia intai" ale emisiunilor TV si observ cu stupoare ca noi oriunde am fi, suntem "cei din linia intai". Ma refer la impolitete. Marea majoritate a invitatilor participa la emisiuni in direct si se afiseaza cu telefonul mobil (celular) pe masa. Sa vada lumea ca stimatul invitat e inzestrat cu descoperirea secolului si mai poate citi mesaje sau chiar si mesaje codate in mai multe randuri, numite e-mail. E la moda si e monden sa mai strecori si tu un cuvant englezesc in discursul de doi bani, pe care multi il fac, caci e "misto" si "cool" (vezi Mircea Badea). Cei mai dintai uita chiar sa opreasca si soneria, si moderatorul e nevoit sa intervina .... E jalnic, dar nu conteza, caci suntem in Romania si ne permitem orice.

Personal consider o impolitete grava din partea politicienilor si ai multor gazetari sau "analisti politici" cum se auto-proclama ei insisi, care in timpul emisiunii se holbeaza la ecranul foarte mic al telefonului si "primesc mesaje de ultima ora", sau instructii de la partid, pe care le citesc cu voce tare, sa auda si prostul si necioplitul de telespectatori. Mai nou, unii dau dovada ce bine sa descurca pe tastatura unui amarat de calculator (vezi Radu Tudor, cel cu premiul APTR, de care e foarte mandru si felicitari, si speram ca i-a un premiu si pentru gafa comisa cu documentul fals, cu care incerca sa il acuze pe ministrul Funeriu) si ei facand pe stiutorii, caci reusesc [macar] sa citeasca de pe un monitor un text ce nu le apartine. La noi cam aici e nivelul. Nu suntem informati/pregatiti, dar primim mesaje sau ne credem tari, caci reusim sa tastam ceva in "Goagal", ca sa parafrazez un [mare] politician roman din Sectorul 5, Bucuresti. Cu cititul mai merge, caci daca am terminat o scola de gazetari, macar cititul sa mearga, chiar daca unii se perinda "pa carare" (vezi CTP) sau "pi carare". Eu nefiind vorbitor de limba materna, ma perind "pe carare", dar cred ca sunt eu cam demotat, si ar trebui sa invat limba literara romaneasca.

Interesant, caci uitandu-ma si la canale franceze, americane, elvetiene si germane, si ei fac talk-show-uri, unele chiar de foarte buna calitate, dar ei (vezi invitatii) nu se considera "cei din linia intai", si poate le e frica sau rusine, sa arate ca au si ei un BlackBerry, iPhone sau Nokia, etc. Desi s-a discutat enorm despre atasamentul Presedintelui Obama fata de telefonul sau, nu l-am vazut sa se fi afisat la o emisiune in direct, cu telefonul pe masa, la fel nici Sarkozy (desi "turmentat" l-am vazut deja dupa o discutie cu presedintele Putin) sau nici pe Angela Merkel, cancelar al Germaniei. Dar asta face diferenta dintre noi si ei. Noi suntem "cool cu telefonul pe masa", iar ei sunt [doar] civilizati!

Penal la propriu si la figurat sau coutume a la roumaine

Cum trece timpul ma luminez. Iar astazi, am primit o doza mare de lumina. Doamna Roberta Anastase, pe moment presedintele Camerei Deputatilor se poate minuna, caci procurorii au decis neinceperea urmaririi penale (NUP) in cazul votului la Legea pensiilor adoptat. Deci am inteles. Chiar si in Parlament putem vota legi pe baza unor voturi numarate "cu gauri". Cum mentioneaza PDL-ul, e "cutuma" si procedura. Deci daca inteleg eu bine, in Romania furatul votului e cutuma. Ce mai vrem? E oficial, vine de la cel mai inalt nivel din stat. (E de inteles, avem modele ca R. A., si daca dansa, al treilea om din stat nu stie sa numere, atunci inteleg si rezultatele dezastruoase de la bacalaureat, care sunt conform asteptarilor, si nici nu trebuie sa ne miram. Vorbim engleza ca presedintele, numaram ca presedintele Camerei Deputatilor si luam mita ca un europarlamentar. Unde e problema? Sunt modele ale societatii romanesti si vezi unde au ajuns. Nu mai vreau sa invat, ma fac politician! Renunt la cercetare!)

Si sa ma luminez si mai mult, aflu ca dintr-un tren militar dispar niste lazi cu focoase si nici nu stim cand si cum, desi e si normal caci de stiam nu mai vorbeam de furt. Daca ma gandesc ca politicienii o numesc "cutuma", e cutuma si sa furi lazi cu focoase. La noi cutuma (furatul pe romaneste) se invata din Parlament si se transmite in direct. Si sa vedem si partea comica, acel tren se opreste inainte de granita cu Bulgaria ca mecanicul de locomotiva sa vanda 70l de motorina. 70l de motorina! Si asta e normal in Romania, iar acei 10 jandarmi nu raporteaza acest "mic incident", doar cand se afla faptul ca trenul a fost furat la vama din Giurgiu.

Ps. In momentul in care scriu aceste randuri se confrima faptul ca 3 lazi cu focoase au fost gasite la Chitila. Nu mai atentam la siguranta nationala! De examenul profesorilor care in 70% au picat la examenul de titularizare nici nu mai vorbim ca e si normal sa fie asa. Se fac si ei politicieni sau presedinte. Ce sa mai dea examene?

Premiul APTR la anul doamnei Dana Grecu si domnului Radu Tudor

Se cred jurnalistii de marca din Romania, doamna Grecu si domnul Tudor, se lauda in fiecare emisiune ca au luat ceva premii de la APTR, dar vineri 8 iulie, 2011 au cam dat-o in bara. L-au acuzat [pe nedrept] pe ministrul Funeriu ca nu a reusit examenul de bacalaureat din Franta, si doar la examenul oral ar fi reusit sa treaca, totul bazat pe "documentatie solida". Beton cum se zice la noi in Romania. Isterica din fire, sau poate crede dansa (vezi D. Grecu) ca face priza la public sa urlii la invitati, si sa faci psihoza de prost gust si de doi bani, acuza pe toata lumea, oricine ar fi numai PDL sa fie sau din arcul guvernamental caci mogulul dansei asta vrea si doamna se conformeaza si ma gandesc ca o face pe bani multi. (Tot dansa a creat psihoza ca ungurii vor mijlocul Romaniei si vezi ca ungurii stau bine si nu se intampla mai nimic, doar ca dansa a crezut [foarte prost] ca face audienta.)

In emisiune cere cu darzenie doamna Grecu ca Funeriu, -ministru pe moment-, sa iasa la rampa, de ce se ascunde si asa mai departe. Si Funeriu bine a facut, nu s-a injosit la nivelul dansei isterice si spumegande. Iar bomba vine ieri, cand Funeriu a tinut o conferinta de presa si s-a adeverit ca Grecu si Tudor au inspumat din gura pentru mai nimic, caci Funeriu a trecut examenul, iar documentul dat la Antena3 era un fals, chiar abject, caci era modificarea unui document de anul acesta, doar ca numele lui Funeriu era inclus. Ceva josnic, si sincer sa fiu, nu stiu daca Antena3 a masluit ceva sau chiar documentul a venit de la cineva. Oricum, e foarte josnic, iar daca marii jurnalisti Grecu si Tudor s-au luat de un document fara sa verifice sursa, cred ca acest lucru merita un nou premiu APTR. Da, la noi premiile se dau pe asemenea lucruri! Cat mai prost esti cu atat mai inalt ajungi si mai ai si un premiu APTR! Eu am sa cer ca si la anul cei doi sa aiba parte de premii, caci macar asa au si ei cu ce sa se lauda caci cu Funeriu n-a mers. S-au legat de un om care ii depaseste mintal si asta s-a si vazut. Omul a fost scolit in Franta si nu in Romania.

Mar jegyzek ket rovidebb-hosszabb irast ez ugyben, de most megkockaztatok egy jovokepet adni a roman kozepiskolas erettsegirol. 200,000 diakbol kevesebb, mint 100,000 vizsgazott sikeresen, es igy sikeresen jutott egy erettsegi bizonyitvany tulajdonaba. En is voltam diak, es az egyetemen maradt el vizsgam (legtobb 1 evente, ha nem tevedek 1x vagy 2x tortent ilyensmi, amiben volt egy adag strategia is, mert az evi atlag igencsak szamitott a kollegiumi szoba elnyereseben, illetve az osztondijat is a jegyek fuggvenyeben osztogattak, es minden jegy igencsak szamitott. No de ez egy vizsga volt a sok tobbi mellett, es egy nyar sok mindenre adott idot.

No de a diszes tarsasag nagyreszenel, tisztelet a kivetel, mar akit megillet, nem csak egy tantargybol bizonyitott a magas szakertelem, hanem sorozatban azonos a szint. Most mar meg is ertem, hogy miert nem tudott a nagyerdemu a tanulasra koncentralni. A csodaval volt elfoglalva.

Institutionalizam prostia in Romania

Esec. Esec total la bacalaureatul din sesiunea iunie-iulie 2011. Unele scoli "s-au organizat" (camere, exigenta, etc.) si nu au mai trecut cu vederea la copieri, iar rezultatul e devastator: 44% de promovare. 6 elevi din 10 din Romania nu au nivelul corespunzator. In 28 de licee promovarea este de 0. Deci pentru acei studenti cei patru ani de studii a fost a pierdere de timp. La fel si pentru profesorii lor. Le-am platit pentru nimic.

Si opozitia? Se leaga de ministrul educatiei, dl. Funeriu si ii cere demisia. Deci omul dovedeste cu cifre ca sistemul nu e viabil, si ii cer demisia pentru acest lucru. Acum le dau dreptate celor de la guvernare. Opozitia incearca sa culeaga voturi pe seama studentilor picati si parintii acestora. In loc sa ii indemne la invatat, critica sistemul care in mare parte le apartine, vezi regnarea Rectorul Marga, Rectorul Andronescu sau chiar Prof. Atanasiu la carma ministerului. Consider ca e rusinos ca oameni de carte sa critice sistemul si sa ceara demisia cuiva, fiindca acesta a facut o fotografie reala a sistemului scolar romanesc si a demonstrat ca sistemul nu functioneaza.

Ps. Se pare ca opozitia vrea sa institutionalizeze prostia in masa in Romania! E de inteles, caci oamenii mediocrii pot fi condusi foarte usor, nu pun intrebari, nu gandesc si nu protesteaza!

Az intelektualis csod

Ketsegtelen, meg nem a teljes csod fenyeget, de kozel, nagyon kozel allunk hozza. Mig gorog baratainknal gazdasagi csod van kilatasban, Romania intelektualis csoddel kuzkodik. Valoszinu, hogy evek ota ez az elso olyan erettsegi vizsga idoszak, amikor a diakokat nem hagytak masolni, es maris latszanak az eredmenyek. Szamomra nem meglepo, de van olyan iskola, amelyben nincs atmenest biztosito 6,00 media. Nem semmi! Vagyis van olyan iskola ma Romaniaban, ahol 4 ev ugy telik el, hogy a diakok nem tanulnak semmit. Ezert kar a tanarnak is es a diaknak is iskolaba jarni, nem de?

No persze, ahogy az lenni szokott, a diak a tanart, a tanar a diakot hibaztatja. Hol az igazsag? Ahogy Mulder ugynok is mondana: "Az igazsag odaat van! ("The truth is out there!") Az latszik, hogy a jelenlegi tanugyi miniszter (lasd Daniel Funeriu), habar nem igazan tud beszelni helyesen anyanyelven, megfelemlitette a felugyelo tanarokat, akik nem mertek "egyezsegre lepni" a diakokkal, es ime a katasztrofalis eredmenyek. Egy Hunyad megyei iskolaban 70% a diakoknak masolt, igy menniuk kellett, es majd jovore tudnak csak ujra a vizsgaztatok ele jarulni. A fovarosban van olyan gimnazium ahol 3 diak felelt meg az erettsegi kovetelmenyeknek. A felhaborodas nagy, hisz a diakoknak varni kell, a szulok el vannak keseredve, illetve, egy dolog amire sokak nem gondolnak jelenleg, mi lesz a diploma gyar egyetemekkel, ahova ezen gyerekek nagyresze "nagy erokkel keszult"? Most ott kiket fognak pallerozni, hogy a tudomanyok gyumolcset izlelgessek? Hat akik elbuktak az idei erettsegi vizsgakat, azokat biztosan nem, de Romania a lehetosegek orszaga es valamit megint "kitalalunk".

Daca ati studiat in Romania stiti bine despre ce vorbesc. Si presedintele Traian Basescu cam asa se rezuma. Fiind sef de nava, el considera ca si Romania e o nava si acei 41 de marinari pe care ii avea in subordine se port raporta la intreaga populatie a Romaniei si totul e rezolvat. Dansul la carma, ordine, si navigam. Sunt unele lucruri minore cum ar fi Constitutia, democratia in sine si oamenii care pot sa decida daca vor sau nu sa urmeze niste ordine de la cineva (?), dar cred ca toate acestea lucruri par minore si nu sunt luate in considerare.

Honestly, nowadays the Hungarian Government can not shock me anymore. They typed the new constitution on iPad, they do not accept the comments coming from the Venice Commission w.r.t the unconstitutional parts of the new constitutional modifications, they "do no manage" to translate the constitution for the EU, etc. Impressive. However, we have, we have a lot of arrogance!

And now, the new political boom, the visit of the Chinese PM Wen Jiabao in Hungary. A year ago the rightist Fidesz campaigned with "The country is not for sale!", "Hungary belongs to Hungarians" and other similar populist slogans. For sure, they did a good job! They won the elections, now they have 2/3 of the Parliament in their pocket, so honestly the opposition parties and their politicians are payed for nothing. It is a waist of money.

In a press conference with his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban, PM Wen announced that China is ready to buy Hungarian government bonds and a one billion euro credit from the China Development Bank for common projects will be offered. Interesting, really interesting. He also mentioned that this is a "new and very important deal" and he considers Hungary as a new "logistic platform". Strange! A few months ago they wanted to give back the country to its citizens, nowadays we become a "Chinese platform". Congratulation! Good job Mr. Orban!

I do not question the fact, that Hungary needs investments, whatever the source of this investment is, but selling the country in this way ...? Of course we know China is investing huge amount of money in Australia, US and some African countries, so there is no problem with that but the "how" is rather strange.

Of course for such amount of money, investment and "logistic platform", we even banned the poor Tibetan movements and we oppressed whatever protest they might have on the streets of Budapest. I am certainly sure, only those participant were allowed in the auditorium of the Eotvos Lorand University, visited by the PM Wen who knew "how to behave" and do not ask nasty questions about Tibet. This is how Hungary is treating the free speech and the ideal of democracy ...

Opinion on the new Hungarian Constitution

The so-called "iPad Constitution", the new Constitution of Hungary lately received some critics from the Venice Comission accepted in its 87th Plenary Session between 17-18 June, 2011.

As expected some remarks are not exactly favorable to the Constitution because there are sections where solicitousness and questionability can be invoked. I hope that unqualified arrogance of the Hungarian Government will disappear for a while.

Honestly, it is hilarious. Romania is struggling in the economical crisis, in a few days the leftist PDL government might fail, we have huge debts with IMF and local banks and millions of people starve as they earn less than 100-200 euro/month and the most important topic in the Romanian media today is the fact that Budapest, capital of Hungary is going to change its flag.

Indeed the flag has the same colors but organized differently and there is a blazon which has nothing in common with the Romanian flag. So what? They want to change the flag and they will change it! Why such thing is a headline in Romania? There are more important issues to discuss!

Nu mai conteaza reorganizare teritoriala doar sa nu auzim de Tinutul Secuiesc

In ultimele zile nu vedem mai nimic, doar idea domnului presedinte de a reorganiza teritoriul tarii in 7 regiuni si capitala. Desi pare are fi un lucru logic dintr-un anumit punct de vedere, consider ca nu acest lucru e cel mai important in momentul de fata. Oamenii mor de foame, de relansare economica auzim doar daca rasfoim un manual de economie unde e de gasit definitia relansarii. Presedintele se ocupa de asemenea lucruri, caci facand acestea nu trebuie sa se ocupe de lucruri mai serioase, care se pare ca il depasesc pe domnia sa. E si de inteles. Sa conduci un vas si sa faci contrabanda e ceva diferit de a conduce o tara, a vorbi o engleza decenta si de a te comparta ca un presedinte. Dar cum putem observa, a fost deajuns de a-si pune propria fiica in pozitia de deputat la Parlamentul European, desi dansa are probleme chiar si cu limba romana. La noi locurile nu se castiga, se aranjeaza.

Discutia s-a cam mutat de la reorganizare la chestiunea regiunii din centru, care contine pe moment Brasov, Sibiu, Alba, Hargita, Covasna si judetul Mures. UDMR este impotriva si cred ca aici au dreptate. Find la guvernare pot sa santajeze guvernul PDL, caci de nu, cade coalitia si bye-bye putere, si Boc si Basescu si ceata de "ciocoi".

Sibiu va avea parte de finantari caci e Sibiu, Brasov normal, caci ar fi buricul acelei regiuni, iar celelalte judete doar ar putea spera la finantari in cel mai fericit caz. Dar nu asta e problema. Oamenii, mai ales acei care nici nu au tangenta cu Ardealul considera ca acest Tinut Secuiesc, de care habar nu au e ceva rau si trebuie tratat ca atare.

Multi oameni considera ca se face gard in jurul judetelor Mures, Hargita si Covasna. Gresit. Nu stiu de ce ne miram, caci in Elvetia diferitele cantoane sunt organizate pe criterii etnice, si nu putem nega ca treaba functionaza, si functioneaza bine. Tot asa in Germania, unde land-urile au parlament propriu si ecuatia functioneaza. La fel si in Austria.

Ce e mai important, daca se poate face aceast lucru, caci Romania e un stat national unitar de drept si acest lucru "pare" a fi federalizare, care nu poate fi obtinut in concordanta cu constitutia Romaniei. Dupa mine cel mai important lucru e ca romanii din Romania in care inteleg romani, maghiari, sasi, romi si alte natii care traiesc pe aceste meleaguri sa traiasca bine. Pentru tine, pentru mine si celalalt nu conteaza cine tine haturile, conteaza sa traim bine, drepturile sa ne fie respectate si sa prosperam. Nu? Era sa uit. Din cand in cand mai trebuie sa platim taxe si dari la stat caci altfel ecuatia nu mai tine. Stiu, nu ne prea place sa scoatem bani din buzunar dar daca vrem drepturi si sanse trebuie sa avem si atributii.

Pe moment insa doar vedem ca oamenii traiesc din greu si in aceste momente de criza toti incerca sa isi faca avantaj politic din chestiunea minoritatilor si din acest Tinut Secuiesc de care unii nu vor sa auda desi exista, a existat si va exista pana cand vor trai maghiari si secui pe acele plaiuri. E bine totusi sa vedem ca sunt si unii ca Valeriu Stan, care explica motivele pentru care unii se zbat pentru acele drepturi.

I think such an "English lecture" given by the President Traian Basescu at London School of Economics (LSE) you can not get anywhere else. Definitely, the president is not just president and a [great] politician but an economical guru as well. I have no doubts. None. None.

I have learned some things today. That's for sure. I know right now we should put Romania back on "truck" but however, some might just hope it will be back someday on "track". You never know: truck or track?

Annak ellenere, hogy nem elek az orszagban, igencsak figyelemmel kovetem, hogy merre halad a politika sodrasaban ez a fiatal demokracianak nem mondhato orszag. De hat tudnunk kell, hogy a demokraciat magunknak epitjuk es mi epitjuk, pontosabban azok akik lakjak, vagy legalabb is ezt probaljak elhitetni veluk. Lasd pl. az RMDSZ szlogent "Egysegben az ero!" ami leforditva annyit tesz, hogy boldogtalan magyar szavazz rank, mi vezetunk, velunk a ero (ezt mondta Lucas hires karaktere is), ti meg egysegben maradtok a nyomorban, de ez minket mar nem erdekel, mert velunk az ero. Egyszeru de te nem erted analfabeta erdelyi magyar!

No de ne szabjuk a tarsadalmat, hisz ok is csak emberek, hanem nezzuk, hogy mi latunk es mit olvasunk a roman mediaban. Irodalmar nem vagyok, meg tollforgatonak sem nevezhetem magam, de amit latok es hallok az elkepeszto. Nagyon alacsony szinten muvelik sokak a szakmajukat, de sokaktol nem is varhato tobb. Es megkockaztatom, hogy [talan] nem is a mediaval van a baj, hanem sokkal inkabb a media iranti kereslettel. Ministru: Da, Sampanie: Nu

Cam asa se rezuma ziua de astazi. Dupa gafa de incepator a fostului ministru Botis, incepand de astazi Ministerul Muncii are un nou sef: fostul consilier prezidential Laurentiu Sebastian Lazaroiu. Toata lumea se cam mira, doar presedintele Basescu zambeste ca de obicei. Face si dansul haz de necaz. Dar in Romania nu conteaza cine intra in palarie, conteza doar cine este scos din palarie de presedinte. Caragiale avea dreptate.

Sociolog si fost consilier prezidential in perioda 2007-2011 Lazaroiu poate nu este omul potrivit la locul potrivit, dar in Romania nu asa merg lucrurile. "Potrivirea" se face pe criterii "de performanta" cum se practica acum in Romania, caci asa e corect doar ca inca nu este definit ce numim performanta. Pana atunci performanta se masoara pe prietenii si relatii de sluga. Cam asa pare sa fie si Lazaroiu in relatia cu presedintele. Sluga care indeplineste porunca caci de nu, zbori. Si chiar daca se plac Basescu si Lazaroiu, evocand criza ce paste plaiurile mioritice, sampania se mai lasa asteptat.

Reclama negativa face reclama Tinutului Secuiesc

Se pare ca aceasta deschidere a biroului asa numitului "Tinut Secuiesc" s-a consumat. Mare lucru nu prea s-a intamplat dupa cum pare (si acesta era si normal, caci nimic nu avea sa se intample), dar curios, acest subiect dezbatut din rasputeri cu o darjenie acerba de toata lumea (mai ales politicieni din opozitie, vezi PNL si PSD) in presa scrisa si televiziuni nu mai interesa astazi pe nimeni. Deci s-a turnat cerneala pentru mai nimic. Interlocutorii prezenti la talk-show-urile regizate de diferitele televiziuni incercau din rasputeri sa previzioneze un fel de revizionism dar se pare ca au dat gres.

Desi intradevar Tinutul Secuiesc nu apare ca administratie teritoriala recunoscuta in legislatia romana, si poate multi nu stiau ce cuprinde Tinutul Secuiesc, dar astazi sunt ferm convins ca toata lumea din Romania stie exact ce inseamna acest lucru. Deci anti-reclama a facut doar reclama Tinutului Secuiesc. L-au dat ca "spot publicitar" la cele mai importante televiziuni, doar ca nimeni nu si-a dat seama ca au facut reclama la ore de varf Tinutului Secuiesc pe GRATIS. Bravo baieti! Felicitari!

Hargita county + Mures county + Covasna county = Szeklerland

Based on some comments by the current opposition (USL) in Romania, tomorrow will "come the end" and a new country will be born overnight or at least some "worrisome situation" will be created as stated by Mircea Geoana. There will be nothing like this, however, those three members of the European Parliament they sent some invitations to the opening of "Representation of Szeklerland in Brussels".

Indeed, there is no such entity like Szeklerland as administrative-territorial unit recognized by law or constitution in Romania. Similarly there is no such legal entity as "Tara Motilor", "Tara Barsei" etc, however, everybody from Romania knows what those regions are.

However, as one of the organizer is the well-known Bishop Laszlo Tokes, of course one might think there is something also related to territorial autonomy asked often by Laszlo Tokes and his followers belonging to the radical representatives of the hungarians from Romania. Personally, I also think such [hidden] aspect could be retrieved in this initiative of those three EU representatives, but in order to avoid any legal act against this initiative, I would suggest the following lawful "equation":

Hargita county + Mures county + Covasna county = Szeklerland

So they can create the representation on these counties defined by law and nobody can argue anymore. Problem solved. I suggest than other micro-regions should also create such initiatives and hopefully some guys from Europe will hear about these regions and if there is no industrial growth at least some tourists will visit our country. (Please do not ask for highways because we do not have ....but I can assure you, we are really nice people!)

Ps. It might happen that some from Romania never heard about Szeklerland, but honestly I always knew that Szeklerland consist of Hargita, Mures and Covasna counties. No comment.

Presidential "boycott" ....

Today I read an official statement from the Romanian Presidency. The president Traian Basescu will boycott the reunion at Warsaw gathering presidents from Central and Eastern Europe. Let's be honest. Who the f.. cares? He is a president of a country begging the IMF for money to support the PDL in the upcoming elections early next year and look who's talking. Really funny but stupid too. Nobody cares about the president and nobody will miss him, I am certainly sure. At least nobody should be embarrassed to talk to him as you can see so often in EU gatherings.

The reason behind this so called boycott lies in the fact that the Polish president invited the president of Kosovo to the meeting and some countries do not recognized Kosovo as such. Romania belongs to those countries which do note recognize the independence of the newly formed state of Kosovo back in 2008. Probably some "strange" coincidence is behind all this, because among the EU member states only Romania, Cyprus, Greece, Slovakia and Spain do not recognize the newly created Kosovo. All these countries [might] have territorial claims from neighbor countries or internally and of course this is out of question. So they do not want to create the possibility of any precedence. So this is the story! Boycott! Just a joke ....

Parteneriatul de guvernare se cam duce pe apa Sambetei

Straniu pentru un presedinte de partid care idolatriza acum cateva vreme guvernarea PDL si strangea mana eroului (vezi Emil Boc) care "a scapat" tara de colaps, sa afirme ca "daca se duce majoritatea, se pune in discutie rostul de a mai incerca guvernarea" (vezi articolul integral aici). Deci "rostul" e pana cand avem functii si titluri. Cind rostul o ia pe apa Sambetei (vezi bye-bye vice-premier, ministrii, secretari de stat), nu mai vrem sa ne improscam numele cu voi, PDL partid majoritar de guvernare, raufacatorul natiunii. Va lasam sa cadeti voi, iar noi ne milogim la USL pentru alte pozitii, caci "avem si noi rate la banca". Cam asta ar fi traducerea textului pentru noi, prosti de rand.

P.S. Intentionat nu dau nume, caci nu am intentia sa fac campanie unui asa zis "presedinte de partid" pe care nu il respect ca om politic si care nu ma reprezinta. Il rog frumos pe dansul sa ii reprezinte pe altii dar nu pe mine! Votul meu nu e de vanzare si nu unora ca dansul.

France says "Stop immigration"

Claude Gueant the French Interior minister just mentioned today in the Le Parisien, France "doesn't need masons and restaurants waiters" as he claims the country has internal "resources". Honestly it is quite a hars statement from the French Government as we know, France depends economically on the immigrants.

There is a legal issue here. Each european country wants good quality, highly educated people but they do not want the rest. However, the society is composed by many layers and you can not select people like animals. You should deal with the hole society either you like it or not. Look the case of Canada or Australia. You can not enter the country once you do not fulfill some criteria. However, such regulation will be hard to be introduced here in Europe.

One thing is sure. One big challenge of the EU beside to tackle the economical crisis hitting many countries worldwide is to sustain the internal economies and solve this issue as an inside matter, otherwise the immigration will be the challenge to deal with.

Cum trece vremea mi-am cam dat seama ca primul om din stat nu prea reuseste sa treaca de calitatea lui de marinar, dar e de inteles, toti suntem limitati, unii mai putin altii ... Fie. Dar astazi am inteles ca omul nu e numai marinar cu o engleza de invidiat dar si presedinte.

Intr-un interviu dat astazi televiziunii publice, primul om din stat afirma "Obiectivul meu nu mai este legat de procentele PDL din 2012, obiectivul meu este legat de iesirea Romaniei din criza si trecerea pe crestere economica solida." Asta da obiectiv! Felicitari! Am doar o singura intrebare. In ultimii 6 ani care era obiectivul? Deci dupa propriile vorbe (foarte incriminatorii trebuie sa admitem), pina la acest moment omul nu era presedinte ci sluga de partid, facand jocul partidului care l-a propus si mai putin presedinte pentru care este platit din bani publici.

Nu sunt politician, si nici nu vreau sa ajung sa ma cobor la un acest nivel scazut de intelect (scuzele de rigoare fata de politicienii de marca), dar chiar si eu am o problema cu aceasta chestie. Cind esti presedinte servesti tara si mai putin partidul si ar trebui sa fi apolitic caci fisa postului te obliga. Acum cu acest interviu publicat la televiziunea publica omul singur a reusit sa se inculpe in fata intregii natiuni. Deci fara discutie, trebuie sa fii un marinar destept sa faci asta.

Sincer sa fiu, ma bucur enorm caci macar dupa 6 ani, de astazi pot "sa ma mandresc" si cu un presedinte si pot afirma cu bucurie "Habemus Presedinte".

Prostia si domnia: versiunea UDMR 0.1

Acest amendament la legea Invatamantului care exclude obligativitatea predarii istoriei si geografiei pe limbile minoritatilor trecut deja de Camera Deputatilor, care va fi validat (sau nu!) de Senat era prilejul oportun de a rupe coalitia dintre PDL si UDMR, dar singurul om care a sesizat momentul era senatorul Gyorgy Frunda. Ceilalti ori sunt incapabili de a sesiza momentul (si sincer sa fiu tind a crede acest lucru despre unii, vezi tabara prostilor) ori se agata pana la ultimul moment de fotoliu (vezi tabara domnilor), ca si fostul presedinte de partid B. M. sau protejatul, presedinte dupa titlu, cu alt nume dar (din pacate) acelasi chip si infatisare. Si sirul e fara sfarsit.

Cit despre abrogarea in sine, e de discutat. Sunt maghiar, si sunt constient de faptul ca orice materie poata fi insusita cel mai bine in limba materna, dar cind eu am terminat scoala nu era o asemenea lege si am invatat aceste materii in limba romana si nu ma plang caci nu am de ce. Vorbesc curent limba romana, poate mai bine ca unii care au insusit romana ca limba materna. Dar sa presupunem ca ar fi mai usor si mai "legic" de a invata aceste materii in limba materna. Daca suntem cetateni si platitori de taxe si dari, atunci sa fim tratati de la egal la egal si sa avem si noi aceleasi drepturi ca si majoritatea de a invata in limba materna.

Senatorul Frunda pe langa faptul ca a trecut tacit aceasta abrogare de Camera Deputatilor cere ruperea coalitiei pe motivul ca nu sunt masuri de relansare economica promise de Guvernul Boc. Si asta nu poate nega nimeni. E realitatea cruda de ne place de nu. Acea crestere economica de 0.6% e derizoriu, desi premierul Boc sa mandreste .... Dar nu, UDMR lupta pentru binele umanitatii.

Ma intreb ce se va alege de dansii cind nu mai intra in Parlamentul Romaniei, caci acele 5% vor fi greu de gasit, foarte greu si oamenii sunt foarte nemultumiti de ei si nu se mai incred in minciunile rostite de aceiasi fete de 20 de ani. Un lucru e cert, taxa prostiei si domniei trebuie platita si de UDMR.

Cine se aseamana se aduna

Pina acum am vazut doar congres tipic comunist la UDMR, dar in weekend am revazut acelasi lucru si la Partidul Democrat-Liberal. Ca si cum ne-am fi intors 21 de ani in timp, si asistam la Congresul Partidului Comunist Roman din timpul lui Ceausescu. Poate ar fi bine sa nu numim congresul acesta al partidului democrat-liberal ci un nou congres PCR, ar XV-lea daca nu ma insel.

Si chiar niste membrii din PDL au acuzat ca s-au facut aranjamente si listele distribuite erau ceva lucruri dictatorice, dar partidul e democrat. Chiar de nu e, are numele de "democrat". Daca adversarii politici te unfunda, e ok, dar cind te infunda proprii tai membrii, atunci cred ca nu mai ramine nimic de spus ( vezi Raluca Turcan).

P.S. Acum inteleg de ce stau la guvernare impreuna PDL si UDMR .... Se aseamana baietii! Invata unul de la celalalt.

Being green, let's do it

Soon I have to go for a business trip and usually I prefer doing the check-in myself to avoid the ticket counters at the airports. Last year I realized that you have not just the option of printing your own ticket but a more green solution was also available proposed by Lufthansa.

You have the choice to get the e-ticket on your cell phone. Yep. You get a short message containing a web link and that's it. Click on the link (get yourself a 3G connections), get the ticket on your phone and there are bar code readers and the problem is solved. Of course, charging your phone and manufacturing the phone probably it is not the greenest solution ever but I think it is a good option.

However, in order to be sure nothing nasty will happen, I have an A5 printout of the e-ticket (for backup) as even though I am a computer scientist I have some doubts about this new solution. However, soon I will let you know how this green check-in has happened. If it is working I will never ever print my e-ticket!

Cind esti sluga premierului

Da. Asta e atributia doamnei consilier Andreea Paul Vass, de a fi sluga premierului Romaniei, Emil Boc. Desi m-as mira daca in fisa postului este trecut sa faci si elogii la adresa sefului, dar o sluga buna stie cum trebuie tratat un sef, care chiar daca acesta se lauda ca scoate tara din recesiune, are totusi o tara in haos cu multe nemultumiri.

Si consilierul fara nici o jena, scrie pe propriul blog o oda premierului cum altii faceau in timpul lui Ceausescu. Desi doamna Vass avea 11-12 ani cind s-a trecut la democratie in Romania, totusi stilul si forma e la fel ca in comunism. Nu prea reusim sa scapam de trecut, iar unii chiar se ancoreaza in trecut si nu pot scapa da acel stil aparte. Pe cind atunci oamenii scriau elogii caci le era frica, astazi scriu elogii pentru bani si pozitii. Nu m-as mira daca pe statul de plata va aparea pe linga consilier si elogist sa putem onora cuvintele de marca adresate sefului.

Iar ultimele cuvinte ale consilierului "... Emil Boc: fara critici, fara nuante" arata lasitate unei slugi care incearca sa placa sefului cit se poate de mult. Ma intreb ce se va alege de dansa, cind premierul Boc nu va mai fi premier?

Is the Evil exterminated?

It seems Osama bin Laden, the public enemy number one is gone, killed by some Navy SEALs in Abbottabad, Pakistan. President Obama was quit happy announcing the death of bin Laden, however, the PR around this counter intelligence operation is quite shaky. Some pictures from the White House's Situation Room were released where high officials were looking online how some people are killed. It is not appropriate to do so. However, there is no strong evidence about the identity of the killed person. All the evidences (photos, DNA, etc) can be faked, no doubt about this.

Ok. One guy has been killed savagely, his body was buried in the sea, so what? Hopefully nobody is that naive to think there will be no more terrorism. It was just a person with a name considered by the world as the Evil. Probably it was stupid from the US Administration to kill the only guy with a name. Behind that name there are hundreds and thousand, noname persons which can do exactly the same. At that time who should be blamed? There are no more names ...

Ps. I have a guess! Soon a new name, a new public enemy will be born from nothing. If there is no name we will create one.

Unbelievable but true

Unbelievable. This morning I spent my time with schoolmates I have not seen for 20 years, I participated to a religious ceremony downtown at midnight and I met my schoolmates from high school afterwards. It was a full day of joy and happiness.

Today I will spend my time with my lovely family and yes, indeed it is worth coming home and enjoy this superbe feeling .... I hope during Easter everybody is happy and full of joy.

Fraier la termen

Ieri inca nu era o problema de incompatibilitate dar astazi este. Si "onoarea" trebuia salvata prin demisie. Si Ioan Nelu Botis si-a dat demisia din functia de Ministrul al Muncii. Partidului i-au trebuit zile, iar prim-ministrului Boc (jurist de meserie?) i-au trebuit luni sa isi dea seama ca nu e legal ce face Botis prin ONG-ul respectiv.

Dar sa vedem si latura cealalta. Botis este un simplu peste mic de tot, care si-a creat [proasta] aluzie ca joaca intre greii partidului, dar uite, l-au sacrificat pentru 2.000 euro. Ceilalti vand energie, drumuri pe miliarde, etc., iar cu ei nu se intampla nimic. Si pe cand saracul de Botis a asteptat semnalul de la partid, Berceanu, Videanu si Blaga si-au dat demisia inainte de termen. Ei astazi sunt oameni de marca din partid, pe cand pentru Botis "la revedere cariera politica". Deci putem sa il numim "fraier la termen". Dar inainte de "bye bye politics" mai are treaba cu legea.

Ps. Felicitari Realitatea TV pentru demersul care a dus la demisia unui ministru corupt. Sa speram cam vom mai avea parte de astfel de demersuri.

Prostul admite la TV (in direct) ca e in conflict de interese

Astazi am vazut ceva fara pereche. Dl. ministru Botis, membru "marcant" in Partidul Democrat Liberal admite in public la Realitatea TV ca sotia domniei sale lucreaza ca consilier la un ONG (Asociatie Parteneriat Euroactiv Bistrita) care are finantare de la Comunitatea Europeana si ca ONG-ul respectiv mai ia si bani de la stat, organizatia de stat fiind in directa subordonare a domnului ministru Botis.

Ce mai vreti oameni buni? Omul acesta e cinstit! Admite in public la maxima audienta ca ia banii statului lucrul acesta nefiind legal in concordanta cu legile in vigoare din Romania. Vorbim despre Legea nr. 188/1999 cu privire la Statutul functionarilor publici. Felicitari la PDL! Va faceti da ras pe zi ce trece! Mai aveti si oameni cinstiti. Din pacate sunt putini dar poate ca demisia ministrului (consider a fi obligatoriu) poate starneste "un val de cinste" in randurile guvernantilor. O fi de vina Saptamina Patimilor?

Sper din tot sufletul ca ministrul va demisiona maine dimineata, dar ma tem ca omul care il va inlocui nu va fi atat de prost sa admite ca fura banii statului la TV in direct. Pentru a face asta trebuie sa ai clasa si sa fii ca Botis. Cred ca trebuie sa definim pe linga "talmaceanism" si "botisism" caci vad ca in fiecare zi apare un nou "titan" din partidul de guvernare. Presedintele Basescu are niste adversari de temut. Hegemonia "basescianisma" pare a fi in pericol.

Sincer sa fiu, abia astept ca maine prim-ministrul Boc vine si ne explica ca nu e vorba de conflict de interese, nici vorba, doar ministrul Botis n-a formulat corect sau poate ca maine doamna Botis dispare din actele ONG-ului respectiv. In Romania te poti astepta la orice!

Far away

I left my home almost 12 years ago and from that moment I am traveling all over the world from country to country looking for new challenges, new cultures, new civilizations and last but not least new faces. Inevitably you meet people and they color your life far away from those who would smile to you once you would be home. I miss them. I miss them a lot but you have no choice. This is how life is. You keep in mind those loved ones and you hope and hope again to see them soon and hopefully this day will come.

Family, friends, neighbors, streets, benches, trees, old memories and everything you have left behind. They haunt you and keep you alive. You should have these things with you, otherwise you would not be able to do what you have to. It is your survival kit keeping you safe and alive. It is alway reassuring to know that thing is with you. Same for knowing that at home there is always somebody waiting for you. In those far away places, there are nice people sharing their lives with you, sharing their knowledge and kindness but still, they are not you family, not your friends for a lifetime.

Home. Going home. When I was a little kid I was always completely excited once we were planning a holiday. How it is gone be, how the journey would be and many other questions did not allow me to sleep the night before the "big day". Even though, the years have passed and I have travelled a lot, most travels are rather boring, the "going home" travel is always special. It should be not but it is. Normally, you should just hop in a plain, read some newspapers or a book and sonner or later just land and say: "-Home, here I am! I am back!".

This travel is special. Is planned more than the others. You will gone meet your parents, other family members, friends, etc. All the bunch of people you left behind. You left but they will be there and gone wait for you. There is always somebody waiting for you. This is a huge gift. There is always somebody.

Ps. It is not about homesickness, over the years you manage this but is about your home. Oamenii Presedintelui

Sa ne intelegem. Nu am nimic cu politica de dreapta, - chiar deloc -, dar unii politicienii care pretind a fi de dreapta ma amuza, si din pacate trebuie sa ne dam seama ca acesti oameni conduc Romania de astazi.

As incepe cu Presedintele Basescu caci asa se cuvine, nu? E marinar de meserie si nefiind turnator dupa cum sustine CNSAS, face bisnita pe vapor cu fratele sau, acesta din urma avind un profil si mai sumbru decat dansul. Pot sa ma gandesc la dansul (vezi presedintele Basescu) ca oricine din stat, doar presedinte nu. Nu! Pentru a fi presedinte, trebuie sa ai tinuta si clasa. Dansul cu tinuta si cu scoala sta cam greu, iar engleza marinareasca cu care se adreseaza ma face sa ma rusinez eu insumi, caci eu macar am bunul simt, pe cand dansul doar ranjeste si se considera mare sef de stat. Da, dansul este sef de stat in tara lui Papura Voda. Insa cu unele cuvinte se descurca de minune, dar nu ma mira la nivelui lui de marinar. Cu cititul e mai greu (vezi cuvintarea tinuta la UN din New York), dar e de inteles, caci pe o nava nu se citeste ci se injura nicicum altceva.

Dar sa nu ne "atasam" asa tare de presedinte, caci functia in sine e cel mai important din stat si merita un oarecare respect. Vorbesc de respect fata de functie si nu de persoana.

Recent am asistat la un coming out artistic a unui consilier local din Bucuresti, pe nume Edmond Talmacean care in culorile partidului de guvernare PD-L participa in fiecare seara la unele posturi de televiziune si ne explica de ce trebuie ca romanul de rand sa traiasca din bani mai putini, sa auda ca Romania este in criza, de ce in loc de spitale doamna Udrea, ministru si dansa, construieste sali de sport, face gondole la munte si lista e fara sfarsit. Acest om vine si explica [fara nerusinare] in numele partidului ca romanul trebuie sa inteleaga aceste lucruri si ca totul e bine si trebuie sa fie fericit ca traieste in secolul XXI.

Sunt ferm convins ca omul va crea o subcultura in Partidul Democrat-Liberal si asta va fi masura cu care se va cantari calitatea unui om de marca in partid. Se va introduce "competenta Talmacean" caci acum se vehiculeaza pe zi ce trece ca avem nevoie de oameni competenti. Daca nu sti sa dansezi precum Talmacean nici sanse nu ai sa ajungi pe culmile partidului. Vom ajunge sa ne descotorosim de basescianism si sa inventam talmaceanismul, o noua era in istoria moderna a Romaniei. Asa cum am sustinut si intr-un blog acum citeva zile, omul e un stand-up comedy versiunea romaneasca fara limite si cu resurse la nesfarsit. Pe cand altii trebuie sa se pregateasca din greu pentru un asemenea show, distinsul consilier scoate aceste "perle" cu o naturalete de invidiat. Se face de ras in fiecare clipa cind deschide gura, recita versuri de Eminescu, cinta, dedica melodii eroului Basescu sau Boc. Si sa nu uitam omul a fost director coordonator-adj in cadrul Directiei Generale a Finatelor Publice a Municipiului Bucuresti din cadrul ANAF.

In urmatoarele zile vom incerca sa mai descifram pe unii din oamenii presedintelui, caci consideram de cuviinta ca acesti oameni merita. Merita din plin!

Ps. Sa nu fim acuzati de a fi partinitori, prezentam si un material despre Presedintele Obama care danseaza (cu oarecare stil as zice) in emisiunea lui Ellen Degeneres.

Easter vs. Christmas

Easter is approaching fast. It is one of the most important or rather the most important event in the Christian liturgical year. It starts with the Palm Sunday, followed by the Good Friday, the crucifixion and finally the resurrection of Christ. The event corresponding to the Jewish Passover is marking the end of the Egyptian captivity of the people of Israel.

Christian families reunite and celebrate this Christian feast together. Some of them might go to the temple to pay homage to Christ for taking the sins of the entire humanity. Unfortunately is rather an opportunity to celebrate and rather a contemplation to the roots of this liturgical feast.

I am not a literate, however I was always interested to rank Easter and Christmas among the other Christian feasts. Is it one more important than the other? We celebrate Christmas as the day of the birth of the Lord, Jesus Christ, the Savior. Easter stands for the resurrection. There is no resurrection without birth and there is no birth without resurrection "... there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust." (Acts 24:15)

Are these feasts complementary to each other or is there any rank among them? Should we rank these feasts? Does it have any sense to do so?

Ps. The Easter eggs and the Easter bunny are rather just some modern add-ons of the real feast. They are really nice and important elements of feast but the focus should be rather on the spiritual side.

Politicianul roman

In societate traim dupa reguli. Unii nu prea, dar e bine ca macar ne consideram pe hartie stat de drept. Vorbim de Romania.

Asa si in politica. Vorbim de trei feluri de politicieni: cei care conduc, cei care gandesc si cei care executa. Daca poti imbina primele doua nivele te poti considera omul fericit si cu succes. Din pacate foarte putini politicieni din Romania imbina aceste calitati. Fara a jigni pe nimeni, am sa enumar citeva nume "marcante", si le voi clasifica dupa merit si tribut.

Politicianul conducator: Traian Basescu, Crin Antonescu, Bela Marko, Hunor Kelemen, Victor Ponta

Politicianul ganditor: Gyorgy Frunda (e si conducator), Laszlo Borbely (pare sa aiba si influenta), Ludovic Orban (si cu influenta), Petre Roman (desi a cam trecut timpul peste el), Mircea Diaconu (artist si asta se si vede, si va ramine asa), Elena Udrea (cu putere, bani si "imagine"), Attila Verestoy ("drujba lui Dumnezeu" cu bani, oligarh si el de meserie), Dinu Patriciu ("oligarhul" care misca economia Romaniei), Adrian Nastase (cardinalul Richelieu versiunea romaneasca), Calin Popescu-Tariceanu.

Politicianul executor: Emil Boc (pe hartie este [inca] prim ministru), Gelu Visan (cu scoala sta mai greu), Edmond Talmacean (un stand-up comedy versiunea romaneasca cu resurse fara limite), Danut Liga (aroganta si prostie la nivel inalt), si din pacate sirul este fara sfarsit. Nici nu mai vorbesc de George Becali sau Vadim Tudor doi dintre oamenii de marca care sunt "imaginea" Romaniei la Parlamentul European.

Ce putem sa concludem? Conducatorii, asa zisi politicieni conducatori, nu au calitati de lider, dar au ajuns in frunte, caci le trebuia niste prosti, de fatada celora din clasa ganditoare, ca sa ii manipuleze, ei ramanind in umbra si navigind politica dupa bunur lor plac.

Iar politicianul executor, e iarasi o veriga de nelipsit in sistem, caci el nu trebuie sa gandeasca, trebuie doar sa voteze cum le-au comunicat cei care gandesc. Nu prea iau cuvint in Parlamentul Romaniei, caci sa fim sinceri nici nu reusesc sa tina o cuvintare, si chiar ar fi rusine la partid sa ii puna sa ia cuvint sau sa propuna ceva, dar totusi sunt buni de trimisi la emisiunile de televiziune unde cu darzenie si inversunare se fac de rasul lumii mai tot timpul.

Voila, asta e politicianul roman!

Meg nem lattam szemelyesen az esetleges egyhazi torveny modositasait, de ha az Index hirportal erre vonatkozo hire igaznak bizonyul, akkor szerintem a Magyar Kormany bebizonyitja, hogy a Szent Korona es a keresztenyseg, mint az allam alappillerei (lasd Alkotmany) csak porhintes es semmi egyeb. No. Until now we can not. We just download without knowing exactly what we are doing. We trespass a lot of copyright laws but nobody cares. We just simply download. The p2p networks appeared and from that moment a new industry was born. Somebody is ripping some music, movie and in a moment the whole word can have access to that material belonging to the "dark side".

Of course in each country there is some mediatic litigation each year, but the phenomena can not be stopped anymore. Once you have a decent Internet connection you can have access to music, movies, software, etc. and the cost is 0. Nothing. For "free". Just for example, take a look at this website.

In some countries nowadays they realized that some "digital law" would not solve the problem. The users can hide behind some IP address, nobody can be pursued, so there is no chance to sue all the users.

A possible solution would be to pay some extra fees to the ISP and those funds should be distributed among those persons who claim to have some copyright material "shared" on the World Wide Web. However, there are some questions regarding this possible solution.

1) What about the amount of the fee?

2) Who should pay this fee? Who is in control to supervise this paying?

3) What is happening to those who are not downloading illegal material?

4) Would this [collected] money be sufficient?

5) How such selling model would change the classical trading?

Deutsche Bahn ... sucks

My day started really nicely. However, it ended up really bad.

I had a reservation for the ICE 662 from Nurenberg to Dortmund. It is a 4h 30 minutes ride.

I was at the main station on time, however, I have seen already there is a 5 minute delay but even here in Germany I can accept such a short period to wait for my train. I checked even where my coach should be situated in order to be sure to step in the car, get my seat and be happy ever after once I occupied my seat.

The train was delayed around 15 minutes but I told myself s... can happen even here in Germany.

The nice suprize was where I found out there is no such couch number like 31, so implicitly no seat 66 so there was no place for me. So clueless I stepped in a car with some other number and I realized some others faced the same problems as me. It was impossible to stay even in the hallway. Of course nobody was happy but there was nothing to do against.

Can you imagine 8 coaches were missing? Unbelievable! Never ever again DB! Never ever!

Nem biztos meg, mert ez a kerdes eleg kenyes, de lassuk be egy ilyen dontes egyertelmuen bebetonozna a jobboldalt a kormanyzasba az elkovetkezendo evekben. 2 citizenships 1 person 2 countries

Hungary. Romania. Two countries, two nations, a lot of common history in the last 1000 years and of course emotions on both sides. Everybody "claims" the land as his own and nobody wants to accept the other's argumentation. So it kind of an endless speech with two majore speaker. The idea they do not speak to each other but rather they just speak and nobody listens.

However, the fact is a fact. Transylvania belongs to Romania which nowadays is a "national, sovereign, independent unitary and indivisible state" granted by the 2003 Constitution of the country. And in this political and legal landscape probably there will be a majore change. Recently, the neighbor country, Hungary granted citizenship for all Hungarians living in the diaspora. This law passed by the 2nd Orban government was expected from long-long time over the last 65 years after the II WW, and nowadays we have seen the first "brand new" Hungarian citizens. I discussed this process in details in an earlier blog entry this year (in Hungarian).

The dilemma is: is gone change this new [possible] political strengt the romanian political landscape in those counties like Hargita, Covasna and Mures? It might happen that many people will apply for this dual citizenship and definitely there will be some balance issue in those regions. Even though those citizens will remain romanian subjects, still they will have a huge advantage: they will be also hungarian subjects as well. For sure, the romanian citizens being also hungarian citizens as well will be "more equal" than those romanian citizens not having a second citizenship.

The multiple citizenship concept is not banned in the Romanian Constitution, so each citizen of the country can apply for a foreign citizenship and over the time many people obtained citizenships mainly from countries like Hungary, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, etc. However, in those specific regions mentioned earlier, it might happen that thousands and thousands (even hundred thousands) will apply for a hungarian citizenship and probably it will be granted to everybody who can prove that he/she belongs to the hungarian minority living in Transylvania.

I look forward to see how Romania will handle this "problem" (if there is any) and I am also interested to see how many will apply for this citizenship offered by Hungary. As we can see in Physics whatever system tries to attain its stability, so it will be not different in that particular case either. Sooner or later there will be stability and balance.

Ps. However, some players in the romanian political landscape definitely they will play this "minority card" again and again in the upcoming months and during the elections in 2012.

Sincer sa fiu ma surprinde cum un consilier prezidential ca doamna Vass raspunde la un asemena e-mail. Eu sunt cetatean roman de nationalitate maghiara, dar totusi am invatat la scoala sau pe unde m-au mai purtat drumurile, caci macar o formula de adresare se mai aplica intr-o scrisoare, chiar si in romana. Iar daca aceasta scrisoare mai vine si de la un inalt oficial al Guvernului Romaniei ,care mai e si lector universitar la Facultatea de Relatii Economice Internationale ar fi si mai important sa se respecte aceste reguli de baza, pe care le-am invatat in scoala generala. Dar mi-am dat seama, ca asteptarile mele sunt gresite si politetea e ceva dat demult uitarii. Despre continut nu comentez caci e ridicol raspunsul, dar sa trecem peste acest lucru.

Se pare ca in Romania totul e invers proportional. Cu cit esti mai incapabil, nepoliticos, dobitoc si prost cu atit ajungi mai inalt in hierarchia de stat. Nici nu ma mira faptul ca Romania este una din singurele tari din EU care inca este in mocirla crizei economice si cu asemenea demnitari si "minti luminate" nici sanse prea mari nu sunt de escaladare a crizei.

Asa m-am inselat si in privinta multori asa zisi "politicieni" de astazi, parvenitii societatii romanesti, multi dintre ei nu sunt mai multi sau mai putin decit niste "bonjouristi".

Va multumesc frumos pentru raspunsul dat, si va multumesc ca ati reusit sa ma convingeti si mai tare, ca e mai bine sa ramin in strainatate, sa fac cercetare acolo unde lucrurile "concrete" conteaza, si sa nici nu ma gandesc sa ma intorc in tara, caci viziunea despre "concret" se [poate] schimba peste noapte.

Deci cam asa stau lucrurile pe la noi in Romania. Daca acesti oameni tineri ca doamna Vass, cu carte sau macar asa pare sunt capabili de un asemenea comportament, ce sa ne asteptam de la "mogulii" sau "talibanii" care au fost scoliti in comunism si nici macar o limba straina nu vorbesc iar despre democratie au niste idei vagi invatate la scolile de partid unde li se zicea ca democratia e ca dracul si e bine sa nu ai treaba cu dansul.

Sloganurile de obicei vin din partea Guvernului, caci nu prea am vazut nici masuri de relansare economica, nici de fiscalitate, iar cu coruptia sunteti cam la pamant si asta consider ca va va costa pierderea alegerilor din 2012, dar asta nu e treaba mea. Nu am facut politica si nici nu am de gand, caci nu prea e pe placul meu sa mint oamenii in fata, cum faceti dumneavoastra si colegii dumneavoastra, indiferent de coloratura politica. Si sa nu vorbim cum se agata mai toti de pozitiile ocupate prin cunostinte si adeziuni la un partid sau altul.

Din pacate in ziua de astazi politica din Romania se face la televiziuni, in loc ca discutiile sa se poarte in Parlamentul Romaniei, dar asta e natia romana. De gura suntem toti buni, dar la munca ne pricepem mai putini. Si desi nu sunt de meserie, unii din Guvernul Romaniei nici macar profesionisti nu s-ar putea numi, iar acum ei sunt ministrii intr-un cabinet condus de dl. Boc, care desi preda drept constitutional (sau macar pretinde), incalca drepturile cetatenilor pe zi ce trece. E cam interesant ....

Si de presedinte sa nici nu mai vorbim, ca e rusine cind vezi ca la intrunirile sefilor de stat din UE toti incerca sa il evite pe dl. Basescu. Populismul care a cam disparut in ultima vreme din reportoriul domniei sale, poate avea priza la public in mediul rural si celelalte paturi medioacre din societatea romaneasca, dar nu mai tine la un nivel inalt, unde Romania nu prea are sanse sa se ridice.

Vorbiti de competivitate, iar noi ajungem sa vedem ca studentii care ies din facultatile din Romania nu reusesc nici macar sa adune doua numere, sa nu vorbim de matematici avansate, sau de alte cunostinte. E rusinos sa vezi asta si sa auzi si de la alti colegi, ca "iar am picat un student roman", caci nici macar matematica nu stia, desi dupa notele pe care le avea din Romania, trebuia sa fie un geniu. Si acesti elevi sunt care au note bune si au primit o bursa sau un an de Erasmus. Nici nu vreau sa ma gandesc cum sunt ceilati studenti, care au ramas acasa nefiind genii.

Deci la mine asta inseamna competivitate, dar se pare ca notiunea mea de competivitate e la ani de lumina de notiunea dumneavoastra si a Guvernului. La noi competivitatea se masoara cu faptele, la dumneavoastra totul ramine doar la nivelul vorbelor.

Deci cam astea ar fi unele din lucrurile concrete care le-as enumera, dar daca mai vreti pot si altele, dar din pacate nu stiu daca merita, caci lucrurile nu prea se schimba si trasaturile din Balkan, chiar daca nu ne place sa fim numiti ca atare, sunt foarte bine impregnate in societate si nici nu vrem sa scapam de ele.

Pentru a fi si mai transparent, caci asta am auzit ca Guvernul Romaniei are ca obiectiv de a fi sau deveni (?) si mai transparent, voi posta aceasta scurta lista de lucruri concrete pe blogul personal. Sper ca acest lucru nu va deranjeaza, si chiar va face placere sa deveniti si mai transparent(a) cu Guvernul din care faceti parte.

Asta numai ca sa vedeti ca se poate si altfel, dar sincer, nu ma astept ca Romania sa ajunga la acest nivel.

To be or not to be more nuclear power plants?

Wat we have seen in Japan is something which I do not want to see again. Remembering those times back in 2007-2008 when I spent a lot of time there and seeing everything just vanished it is not that easy to handle. The whole country was hit by that earthquake, a natural catastrophe without any chance to do something against. We just realized how helpless we are in the battle with nature.

Even though in other regions are also earthquakes and people are killed, injured and cities or regions are just washed away, this one here in Japan is even more dangerous because the Fukushima nuclear power plant has been affected. So it not just a tragedy but it can be even worse.

Of course, now, the most important is to help those people out there and give them hope but we should debate again and again the choice of using nuclear energy. Indeed, the energy consumption of the population is growing and growing and these rather new technologies offered by nuclear reactions pay off but there is a huge danger behind those reactions. Radiations can kill more than we can imagine.

There should be a real debate as soon as possible about these nuclear power plants because it is not anymore about a country or a larger region but also about the world's population. We should not destroy what we have built over the centuries.

Resignation an act of political maturity

Resignation is an act of maturity in politics and public life. Of course it is a difficult act but not an impossible one. Anyhow, you should know about democracy to do so. And you need some moral and ethical ground to be able to accomplish such a resignation (abdication for monarchs).

There are several cases when such resignations were evoked. The Watergate scandal was fatal for President Nixon, Edward VIII King of England and Ireland for marrying Wallis Simpson, the abdication of Michael I, King of Romania, Dominiques Strauss-Kahn resigned due some allegation around the ELF scandal and some student mutual health insurance from the Cabinet of the socialist PM Lionel Jospin. Horst Koeler, the former German president also resigned. Margot Kassmann, the Chair of the Council of the Evangelical church resigned once he was found guilty for driving under the effect of alcohol. So, as we can see, in some civilized countries is possible to resign and this shows maturity, dignity, morality.

Lately, Germany faced such a resignation of the Defense Minister of Germany, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg based on a plagiarism allegation concerning his PhD thesis. He tried to face the allegations first, but finally, once the University of Bayreuth revoked his scientific title, he realized even though he is a good and successful politician, he can not stay longer in this high level position.

Unfortunately, in some other countries like Hungary, Romania, China, Russia, North Korea and lately we have seen horrific pictures from Libya, resignation is not an option. Of course, we can not speak about real democracy in these countries, even though some are EU members. Probably, it is kind of an legacy to do so. I think we still have things to learn. After 45 years of communist dictatorship we just changed some names but even though they pretend to act in the name of the democracy, they are also some guys strongly linked to their positions and they do not even want to know about the term "resignation".

I think we will need again 45 years to learn more about democracy and to act accordingly.

MacBook Pro crashed

Yes. I do not know how, but I managed. Yesterday evening I went to bed and I left my laptop without a power cable. Early morning I restarted my MacBook Pro and everything was just fine. However, I realized that is reacting slowly to some mouse commands but I thought probably restoring some softwares status is still going on. And suddenly I just got a black screen and the laptop just restarted ...

Ez tortent az RMDSZ kongresszusan. A nagy valtozas elmaradt, semmi nem tortent, kicserelodott egy nev, mert a kinezet es vizio (ha beszelhetunk egyaltalan ilyenrol, de ketlem) marad minden a regi. Folytatjuk a ket kulacsos politikat, es barmit(!) vallalunk a pozicioert. Kiderul jobb lett volna, ha maradt volna M.B. elnok, mert legalabb o mar nem tud meglepetest okozni.

Beleneztem a kongresszus munkalataiba (lasd Erdely TV) es szomoruan vettem eszre, hogy semmi nem valtozott es ugy viselkedtek, mint a rendszervaltas elotti Roman Kommunista Part ulesein, ahol szoltak az odak a szeretett vezernek es mindenki boldog volt, mosolygott es senkinek eszebe nem jutott megemliteni a szegeny sorsu erdelyi magyarokat, hisz ok nem szamitanak, csak akkor mikor szavazni kell.

Mascarada UDMR sau cine ia ciolanul

Astazi a inceput congresul UDMR la Oradea, Romania. Si dupa atatia ani sub umilita presedintie a lui M.B., partidul minoritatilor maghiare (cum se auto proclama dansii) va organiza alegeri "libere" pentru a desemna noul presedinte in persona domnilor Eckstein-Kovacs Peter, Kelemen Hunor sau Olosz Gergely.

Cum sunt candidatii, asa este si UDMR-ul. Unul e sluga unui marinar de care mi-ar fi rusine sa-i servesc drept consilier, celalt este sluga si continuatorul ideirol unui regim de demult, caci din pacate idei proprii nu prea are, iar celalalt e marele necunoscut in politica romaneasca, care si-a definit platforma pe 7 puncte. E ridicol si grotesc sa ai astfel de candidati. Dar nu suntem capabili sa facem mai mult, asta e adevarul. Poate am putea, dar cei care intradevar ar avea talentul de a conduce si de a uni fortele, stau pe banca de rezerva si fac lucrurile doar pentru nevoile proprii.

Ce e si mai grotesc, cum celelalte partide cum PSD sau PNL se ingramadesc la poarta UDMR pentru a le oferi favoruri in cazul ruperii aliantei cu partidul de guvernare PDL. Iar pentru UDMR conteaza doar functiile si pozitiile si catusi de putin dorinta electoratului care i-a trimis sa ii reprezinte.

Ps. Ma intreb cum va sta Kelemen Hunor pe scaunul de vicepremier si de ministru in acelasi timp, daca domnia sa va accede la functia suprema de presedinte al partidului. Nu. Mi-am dat seama. Va schimba functia de ministru cu cel de vicepremier, caci asa trebuie sa faci si mai putin si trebuie doar sa dai din cap la tot ce zice premierul. Si nu ai treaba cu graitul in romaneste, care e cam slab la unii dintre prea distinsii candidati.

Plagiarism even at the highest levels

Unfortunately, once you work in the academia you face such side effects of research/publications such as plagiarism. 30 years ago was less as there was no Internet and open access to publications all over the world.

However, nowadays it is quite common to find some interesting idea in some paper, journal, book or website and include the work totally or partially in your work and "sell it" as your own product. You can do it, and many guys do so. It is immoral, unethical and unprofessional. However, either we like it or not it exists and it will never disappear. However, we should not tolerate such misconduct.

A few years ago, university personnel realized that many assignment handed in by the students were just some "copy-paste" works as we would say nowadays. They downloaded some existing documents publicly available on the Internet, change the author and the affiliation and "voila" the magic. There is nothing wrong to use some others work but at least a reference (citation) or a quotation mark is mandatory. To avoid such things, please refer to the guideline provided by the University of Washington.

A regrettable plagiarism scandal started a few days ago, here in Germany. The main "actor" was Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, the young, promising Minister of Defense of Germany in the second cabinet of chancellor Angela Merkel. First, once he was accused of plagiarism he stated not to use his doctor title temporally, but once the allegations were investigated by the University of Bayreuth the title was revoked permanently. Doing such a thing is immoral and reveals a certain type of conduct but even worse, the guy is a lawyer and the "borrowed" many unattributed passages from others. There are no proper words to characterize this... I would also question the implication of the supervisor, Prof. D-Jur. Peter Haberle who qualified the thesis as "summa cum laude". Either he was not aware what kind of work is he grading either he was part of the mascarade. In both cases, the particular quilt should be defined as the role of such a supervisor is to guide and lead the PhD candidate.

Interestingly, it seems, even though the German society is divided on the question, it is not affecting the political carrier of the young minister, a possible successor of the current chancellor seen by some political analysts. Even the chancellor Merkel, herself being as well a scientist, supports still zu Guttenberg.

The question is, even though he is a very popular politician, showing such wrongdoing raise many ethical questions. Can we trust anymore such a cheater? Is the Bundestag tolerating such plagiarism at the highest level? Can be a lazy, cheating so-called scientist be a remarkable public servant? Is he gone face any legal consequences? Is possible to sue him for this plagiarism? All these questions should be discussed sooner or later ....

Ps. The author of this blog entry also detected such a plagiarism attempt during a scientific paper review. Of course he managed to stop it right on time!

Apple vs. World

Reading the different blogs and sites either you see something pro Apple either not. The opinions are really harsh and the two camps really can not stand each other. What about the facts?

Apple is a company producing its own products like iMac, iPod, iPad, iPhone and lately those impressive laptops called MacBook Air and of course the underlaying MacOS. So they do not care about the rest of the market, they do their business, they do their marketing strategy and everything is coordinated by Steve Jobs, the CEO of the company. It is really expensive but it is working incredibly. What is the deal?

To be honest, looking only for the iPhone and the MacBook product lines we can state the following. They did it first (iPhone) and nobody can do yet such thin laptop as the MacBook Air. Nobody can deny this. Nobody. The agressive marketing strategy designed with specific care and probably made by hundreds of communication and advertisement strategiests designed around Jobs has an enormous success. Definitely, the show around the MacBook Air was something totally shocking. Getting a laptop out of an envelope, ..... there is nothing to comment. It was just perfect! Simply perfect.

However, even though their products are good, the price strategy applied for the different items is more than expensive. This is something which can be their success or their failure. Until now it seems to work, but somehow it is not realistic to buy 3 "almost similar" laptops from a price of a MacBook Air. The market is free and the price is decided by the producer but something is still wrong here.

This huge price deviation is separating the users and they really hate each other. Yes, indeed their products are good, the batteries included are really resistent, some design and software solutions are really innovative but I have not seen something till now, which can not be done with other products which no not "wear" the Apple logo. Some nice laptops can be also found with HP, IBM Lenovo or Dell logo and the same for HTC phones running Android OS.

I personally think it should be not about choosing a product just because of some logo but rather on the job and the best device should be selected with respect to that. Unfortunately, this Apple brand is quite costly and in some cases people just show off with these products. I do not agree with this attitude but the choice is yours dear Reader. Buy whatever you like but try not to be "You are what you buy" (I have seen this advertisement in Japan back in 2007.)

Ps. This blog entry was typed on a MacBook Pro and the owner it is quite satisfied with this laptop, however, he still thinks the price of these Apple products is not realistic.

The time stops

Nistorescu despre coloana vertebrala a UDMR-ului

Astazi, in emisiunea "Ora de foc" de la Televiziunea Realitatea, ziaristul Cornel Nistorescu a declarat ceva de nota 10. Fiind intr-o discutie directa cu senatorul Gyorgy Frunda, acesta din urma declara faptul ca si in cazul unui nou presedinte in fruntea partidului, acesta va continua drumul bine stabilit de "altii", argumentand ca cei de la UDMR au "coloana vertebrala".

Replica lui Nistorescu era foarte transanta. Avind in vedere cit s-a perindat UDMR de la o coalitie la alta, exista deja mari indoieli in ce priveste aceasta "coloana vertebrala". Din pacate senatorul s-a facut de ras in fata intregii natiuni. Se mai intimpla si la case mari....

Ps. Sper din tot sufletul ca electoratul romanesc de etnie maghiara sa sanctioneze ca atare aceasta asa zisa "coloana vertebrala".

Bye Bye Schengen ....

Probably you might know, there was scheduled the extension of the Schengen agreement with two new members: Bulgaria and Romania later this year (March 2011). Even myself I wrote a short blog entry on this topic. However, this accession was stopped by the big shots in the EU: Germany and France. The reason is, these two new member states do not comply with the regulations and requirements for such membership and the high level corruption is not stopped and in some cases is even encouraged. While Romania was able to manage all the technical details, Bulgaria was not even able to meet those requirements.

Now in Romania we have a huge scandal concerning border patrols taking bribes (several thousands of euros per day) from the passengers in order let them in or out. So we want to join Schengen but we can not control not even our private borders. How could you imagine to do such thing once we became the borders of the European Union? I think we should be grateful to those nations not to kick us out for good. Somehow Romania and Bulgarian and in general the Balkan countries (even though Romania is not considered as being part of that region) can not get rid of corruption and bribes and illegal issues. Shame on us!
